Weak teeth? False teeth? No teeth? This may not be your doughnut. It's tough. How tough? It's the sort of doughnut a rabbi would eat with a knife and fork, and struggle.. or maybe he'd ask for it to be sliced like pastrami. Whichever way, these puppies give your jaw a work out. But I think they're worth it. Barely sweet in themselves, they let the icing take you to coma-ville. All up, I can't wait to walk 10km to be worthy of another dose...while I still have all my teeth. The bagel is the traditional sweetened dough, and importantly the boiled texture that apparently you need a circumcision to get right (though in new york, Mexican Catholics have been made honorary Hebrews). It's a good lox bagel at a fair $12.

Jesse has been my go-to place for the last three years. There’s such a real sense of community and belonging. I see Laura and the girls every morning, and it’s the first human contact that always brightens my day. They even remember my order, and the café stay warm every time all through my way to work. And my Rugluchas are my little sweet treat each time — cinnamon is my favourite.

Jessie’s has spectacular breads, pastries, and sandwiches. All delicious and kosher. This is a wonderful place and always delivers great food.

Amazing!! Great food and the loveliest staff - Emily & Laura are always so friendly! Highly recommend 😋. Also the almond croissants are the BEST!!!

I'm not Jewish! but i really liked this place and friendly staffs. I definitely will comeback again. Their almond 🥐 croissant... I'm getting hungry if i explain more.
