It's a great spot for team events, and its location makes it super special since it's really accessible and just a short walk from the Watsons Bay ferry station.

I had a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience last Sunday. After finishing my meal, I was given the bill by one of the staff members. I trusted that the bill was correct and paid it without further checking. Shortly after I left the restaurant, one of employees ran outside and insisted that I had not paid. I was asked to show proof of payment which I did and he checked twice which made me feel so uncomfortable. After checking, the employee then told me that I had “paid the wrong bill.” When I asked how such a mistake could happen, the staff member responded that they did not know and simply asked me to return to the restaurant to pay again. At no point did he apologise or show any sign of taking responsibility for the confusion your staff caused. This experience was embarrassing, disrespectful, and reflects poorly on staff training and customer service standards. A customer should not be accused of not paying, especially when the error was caused by the staff issuing the wrong bill. Moreover, the lack of apology made the situation even more disappointing. For me personally I won’t recommend any of my friends or family go to visit your restaurant again.

Went here after a scenic ferry ride from Circular Quay, for an afternoon lunch. The building is a beautiful old heritage one, with high roofs and a cosy atmosphere. Seating is plentiful and comfortable. We had a lovely time dining at Dunbar. The food was excellent and everything was freshly prepared and top notch quality. The staff were very attentive, friendly, and professional, and we were well looked after. Could not fault anything at this establishment, and we would go back any time. Do be sure to try the roasted eggplant!

Wow! Just wow! This is an incredible heritage listed building. The views are exceptional. The attention to detail inside is remarkable. Relaxed, beautiful, luxurious. The food was delicious. I will absolutely be back. This is such a special place.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Incredible dining experience at Dunbar by Palomas! The seafood was outstanding, especially the freshly shucked oysters with Nam JIm and flame-kissed prawns - so fresh and full of flavour. The eye fillet with pepper sauce & truffle mash was perfectly cooked and the pan-fried barramundi with clams, green olives & tomato fregola was a seafood lover’s dream. The cocktails were sensational, with the Pink Cloud Cocktail and Watermelon Margarita being the perfect sunset sips. Add in the stunning oceanfront views, attentive service and this is the ultimate spot for drinks and dinner by the water. Can’t wait to return! 🌅🍸✨
