What people say
If you have a dog, you and your best friend will enjoy it. If you don't have a dog... DON'T GO! The place is filthy and full of dog poo and seaweed washed off the shore. I recommend going next door. The beach next door is nicer and more suitable for people with no dogs.
If you're a dog owner, looking for a nice sunny spot to spend the day tanning or want to feel safe with your dog being off leash, then this is the place for you. Came here for an early morning walk, experienced a beautiful sunrise and my dog was so happy to have a massive open area to run around on. If you have kids, I definitely recommend this spot as well. Right before the beach there is an awesome playground setup with loads of playground equipment to be shared with everyone. Toilets are nearby. Huge grass area available for picnics and setting up a soccer or rugby game right near the playground so you know everyone is having fun. Parking is great, if you're there early enough I reckon. Spend a day here and you'll definitely come back.
Fantastic for your hand your dog. Plenty of car parks, great toilet facilities and there is an outside shower/water station that you can fill up your water bottle (no dog drinking fountains though). Always lots of dogs and their owners there if you want to make friends. Otherwise if your like my dog and I, you can grab a copy spot against the sand bank and throw your ball where your sitting. You csn watch the planes fly overhead and boats and kite surfers blasting around the water Infront of you.
Nice beach with calm waves and a relaxed vibe. Easy parking for caravans, though not much space for regular cars. Only a few areas are off-leash, but it’s still a great spot with lots of friendly people and dogs.
Get away to the furthest tip of the Cronulla beach peninsula. You can catch the kite surfers catching mad air and even spot a pelican or few.
