What people say
Mea and Amé is a lovely local cafe in Rose Bay. The cafe is spacious and the decor pleasant, featuring dark aqua. The staff are invariably friendly and accommodating. I particularly love the wonton soup. The bok choy is chopped, so easy to to eat, and the flavour delicious, better than local Chinese restaurants. We also like the eggs Benedict (on Turkish bread - not a croissant) and a number of other items on the menu. They also have current newspapers, a welcome addition on the weekend. This cafe deserves to do well!
Our first time here. Lovely spot for brunch, food very tasty. Can be slightly noisy on the main road but we didn’t mind. Staff all friendly and attentive. Extra points for having HP sauce!! First place in Australia I’ve come across with it
One of my favourite spots in Rose Bay for coffee and brunch is definitely Mea & Ame. The mocha is hands down the best I’ve ever had, rich, smooth and perfectly balanced. The first time I went, I wasn’t expecting much… but I was honestly blown away. The staff are so lovely and welcoming, and the food? They do have more refined options on the menu, but I always go for the basics, because they’re just that well done. It reminds me of grandma’s cooking: simple, comforting, and always good. Since that first visit, I’ve kept coming back. It’s one of those places that just makes you feel at home.
I got the classic pancakes and they where fantastic! Heaps of fruit ice cream and cream! They where as delicious as they look! The staff where incredibly nice aswell! The overall atmosphere was splendid with plants and a lovely painting on the walls. I would 100% recommend!
So good to finally have a decent contender for an all day eatery in the area. Espresso On Dover was an institution under Robbie which never recovered after he left. The new rebranded cafe and new owners seem to have struck the right note and it feels welcoming with a decent menu. I hope they do expend the menu with time to show off what they can do but for now I am happy to support them as they are! Thank you for making our birthday breakfasts feel special 👍😘
