Ocean Beach

Amazing beach. Nice easy waves. Dog 🐕 friendly 😜. 2 cafes nearby. Plenty of parking. Always swim between the flags and re-apply the sunscreen 🧴 There is a water station, public toilets and kids playground.

(3.5 stars) It was a hot, sunny Saturday October Long Weekend afternoon but the water was still, er, brisk on the Central Coast. Undaunted, we hurled ourselves in anyway for our first Australian swim of this season. Ocean Beach is a long, gently curving sweep of coastline largely sheltered by a series of shifting sandbars between Ettalong and Umina beaches, with plenty of free parking but not much in the way of facilities. The sandbars make it a bit of a long walk to deeper water at the eastern end of the beach. The familiar red and yellow rescue chopper was buzzing low and regularly, clearly looking for someone who’d got themselves in a bit of trouble. Hopefully that all ends well. We’ll return when the water temperatures increase a bit!

This is a clean, family-friendly, patrolled beach with toilet/cold shower facilities freely available at the surf club.

Always good and not overcrowded most of the time. The only concern is i never see lifeguards there, no matter what time of day it is I've been there hundreds of times and only remember seeing them once or twice. Overall a very beautiful beach. Waves not too high and not too low.

Very chill area, friendly locals. Great for a getaway with a book under a tree or just a dip in in water. Highly recommend for a bit of peace.
