Be wary. We ordered a jack Daniels and coke but what they served me didn't taste like JD at all! I couldn't even drink it. We then decided to get bottled drinks to take away and the cider was 5 years out of date! Very dodgey.
John is a great host with a fantastic sense of humour and personality (and his wife, too!) We are only visiting Sydney for a short time but it has become our go-to for coffee and smoothies in the morning. The place is relaxed and stylish. We love the long table! John is friendly with all his customers and even has things to keep the kids occupied (toys, etc). Edit: my husband was a bit too quick to start eating. Food is nicely plated.
I've been coming to the Lounge Bar and Cafe for over 10 years, and it continues to be one of my favorite spots for a morning coffee. The large, relaxed atmosphere makes it the perfect place to unwind, whether you're stopping by for a quick coffee or staying for a meal. The coffee is always top-notch, and the food portions are generous, offering great value. The owners, John and Helen are always friendly, welcoming, and go out of their way to ensure you feel at home. If you're looking for a comfortable place to chill out, The Lounge Bar and Cafe is well worth a visit!
Possibly the worst fish and chips I've ever had, it honestly tasted like box food that they purchased from the supermarket and served to us on Sunday morning. We ordered the fish and chips and salt and pepper squid and both items tasted very weird, almost like cardboard. Their tartar sauce also tasted very oily and bland. This restaurant is in dire need of an upgrade, from the furniture to the quality of food and service. I really felt it was important to post this review to warn people of the quality of food served at this restaurant. We spent over $60 for fish n chips n salt n pepper squid and coffee and would never ever go back here!
Kicking myself for not coming here sooner! Very tasty coffee! They use milk lab and Bonsoy milks which are my favourites. They have an extensive list of juices that they make fresh when you order them. The breakfast menu has all the standard things on it (bacon, eggs etc). I didn’t see any marked vegan options but there are veggo options, and given the service is fantastic I assume they would do something vegan if asked. The seating is comfortable, with a mix of lounge chairs and tables. This would be a good place to bring your laptop and work for a couple hours. Very relaxing atmosphere. The person who served us (Chung?) was friendly, fast, and helpful. Our drinks were made immediately and food came out shortly after.
