Triple 8 Cafe is a cafe in South Bowenfels with an outdoor area. Dog access isn't confirmed, but venues with an outdoor area are often dog friendly, so it may be worth checking.
Tripple 8 Cafe. Good spot, friendly staff, very quick, toilets were not great. Food was ok, a bit over priced. Salad wraps, bagels and sandwich were all $18. However I did ask for my chicken schnitty burger to be on a wrap and she was happy to do it however I think she forgot to add the salad. Couple scraps of lettuces and totally forgot the pineapple.
I went in for something to eat and needed to go to the toilet, locked for customers , I'll like that's fine i was getting something to eat, do i went around to order but had to take a phone call , really needing to pee..... Got off the phone , no one at counter, really needed to go to toilet, couldn't wait for someone to actually attend the counter so i went to toilet at servo, lol. Didn't bother going back in, went down the road instead, so can't tell you what the food is like.
I Ahmed and ahh'd about stopping here. I got the brekkie burger and coffee. Talk about a generous serving. The people here are lovely and ask for your feedback. Definitely give it a go.
Tripe 8 cafe conveniently located just off the highway at Bowenfels. Connected to the shell service station just outside of Lithgow. Lake Lyell turn off. Offering a casual dining style experience with barista made coffees cakes, pastries, bagels and cold beverages along with takeaway style burgers and chips etc. On-site amenities, however locked Little steep on pricing . Food seemed to be lacking a lot of volume lacking flavour. Particularly the bagels. Roast beef bagel had roughly 3 cm thick of sliced roast beef. Quite dry also. Salmon bagel was overpowered by cream cheese Costing around $18 each. Coffee was mediocre and extremely hot. Depending on what you’re into, you may enjoy that. Staff are friendly. Both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Overall experience mid ballpark for price. Has room for improvement.
Second time driving through. Food is alright. Except the fish feels very cheap, while the sandwiches are fine. Although some looked a lil’soggy. Barista felt more inclined to chat with an existing patron rather than myself. Actively talking with them while trying to take my order. For a side of the highway cafe, they must expect most customers to never come back cause they don’t seem to care about us much.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
