There are so many 5 star reviews since the new owners took over although we don’t rate it. The kids milkshakes are $6.90 & come in the smallest jar plus it just tasted like coconut milk even though there was chocolate swirled around the jar you couldn’t taste the chocolate. The kids pancake was a decent size, it was supposed to come with ice cream although didn’t so we had to ask for this, then when it arrived it was melted coconut ice cream. My husband got the protein pancakes which didn’t taste very nice at all, too doughy & too much protein powder used. I got the halloumi stack which was tasty although this came with charcoal sourdough which it didn’t specify on the menu. Our coffees were burnt & last of all the outdoor seating area is well overdue for a clean including the completely mouldy highchairs & rusty furniture needs to be replaced.

This Cafe is awesome!!!! We have a couple of family members with coeliac disease and they both love it when we visit The Shack. They have so many delicious options, it makes choosing difficult. We ordered breakfast there recently and the food was amazing. Fantastic quality and beautifully presented on the plate. Smoothies were yum too. The staff were super friendly as always and go out of their way to help you. Its also nice place to relax away from the crowds of Penrith and the river.

They should move to a better location, because it's not deal if you have a family, a pram, it's not tailored to that type of clientele. However, the food is really really nice, I would recommend their BEIRUT CHICKEN. The smoothies are a 10. Coffee for the area it's an 8.5! Staff are very thoughtful, and experienced which is appreciated when dining out and approaching a wide variety of dietary choices. Pricey, but worth it!

Looking for a quick brekkie and The Shack came highly recommended by far when doing a Google search.....and it wasn't wrong. The menu was extensive, the prices very reasonable and the lady serving was super friendly...even at 7am! 😛 We both had a bacon and egg roll on a potato bun and it was delicious! Never had a potato bun before that I can remember and it was soft, light and tasty! The bacon was cooked to perfection and the cheese and onion was an added bonus. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Check it out for some yummy goodness 😊

This was our first visit since thete was a change of owner. We were impressed: awesome atmosphere inside or outside or covered seating, the menu was truly impressive as was my baked "rustic lamb" dish that I will definitely come back for again. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!
