My future Wife and I recently dined at Kings Valley Egyptian Cuisine, and overall it was a lovely experience. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully plated. You can really appreciate the rich culture and tradition behind the dishes — the flavours were well balanced and thoughtfully combined, giving a true taste of Egyptian cuisine. The only suggestion would be slightly larger portion sizes. A bit more on the plate for the price would make the experience even better and encourage loyal customers to keep coming back regularly. It’s always wonderful to experience such vibrant cultural food, and Kings Valley does a great job showcasing the beautiful depth of flavours Egyptian cuisine has to offer. We’ll definitely be back! We can Say it is kid friendly, hard to get up and down the stairs with a pram believe us The owner was an absolute legend served the food to us with the biggest smile you could ever see lovely to meet you kind sir hope to see you in the future!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Outstanding Egyptian Food in Newcastle! Kings Valley Egyptian Cuisine is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Newcastle. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. Mody, the owner, is incredibly passionate and hands-on, making sure every guest feels looked after, and Steve, the manager, was professional, friendly, and attentive throughout the whole visit. The restaurant hygiene and cleanliness deserve special mention everything was spotless, well-organised, and clearly maintained to a very high standard. You can immediately feel comfortable and confident eating here. Now let’s talk about the food : Authentic, generous, and full of flavour: • Mix Grill: Perfectly cooked, juicy, and well-seasoned. The kofta, chicken, and meat skewers were grilled to perfection with that unmistakable charcoal flavour. • Falafel: Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and incredibly fresh. Easily some of the best falafel I’ve had. • Okra (Bamia): Rich, comforting, and beautifully balanced. Just like a homemade Egyptian dish full of depth and flavour. • Shawerma: Tender, juicy, and packed with spices. Served generously and absolutely satisfying. • Liver (Kibda): Cooked exactly right bold flavours, tender texture, and perfectly seasoned. A true Egyptian classic done properly. • Prawns Tagine: Outstanding. Fresh prawns cooked in a rich, aromatic tomato sauce with peppers comforting, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The portion sizes are very generous, the ingredients are clearly fresh, and the quality across all dishes is consistently excellent. Kings Valley is not just a restaurant it’s a true Egyptian culinary experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic food, great service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
Came here from Sydney as a roadtrip with my partner, and decided to try out Egyptian cuisine. Glad we did! Mody was super friendly and accommodating the entire dinner. We ate like kings! Ordered a mixed platter and tahin sabanekh (spinach salsa). Skewers were juicy and tender, with an abundance of sauce and bread. Salsa was more spicy than expected, but nothing table water and olives cannot douse. Om Ali is a must try hot dessert too, as someone who's less cultured! The menu description doesn't do enough justice.
The best spicy shawarma I have had in a while. Also tthe shish tawook was crispy and juicy. Most and his staff were extremely hospitable. Even provided complimentary dessert. The Portions were big as well. Safe to say will be a great place for special night outs.
We went to the King Valley Egyptian Restaurant for dinner tonight after spotting it on Google reviews and wanting to try something a little different. It turned out to be a really lovely find. The restaurant has a relaxed indoor–outdoor setup and would work especially well for larger groups. The menu is straightforward and easy to navigate, which I appreciated, and everything we tried felt freshly prepared. The lamb was a standout. We had the lamb kebabs and they were tender, succulent, and full of flavour. We also ordered the eggplant dish, which was absolutely fabulous and easily one of the highlights of the meal. It had great depth of flavour and honestly made up for the rice, which was slightly on the dry side. Value for money is excellent, and the wine list is surprisingly good and very reasonably priced. Our host Modi was extremely friendly and helpful, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. For dessert, we tried Om Ali, an Egyptian-style bread and butter pudding, and it was exceptional. If you come here, it’s a must-try. The ambience is relaxed and authentic, very true to an Egyptian vibe. Overall, a great dining experience and well worth a visit.
