Door Knock

Great bar with a really nice atmosphere. The drinks were well made and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It’s a great spot to relax, have a few drinks, and catch up with friends. Would definitely come back again!!

I had such a great experience at Doorknock. From the moment we walked in down the long narrow corridor to the underground entrance, the atmosphere instantly transported us to New York - moody lighting, stylish interiors and that buzzing, energetic vibe that makes you want to stay all night. The food was outstanding, every dish was divine and beautifully presented. The drinks were just as impressive with a great wine and cocktail selection. The staff were very friendly, attentive and welcoming. They created such a relaxed yet vibrant vibe that made the whole experience even better. If you're looking for amazing food, great drinks and an atmosphere that feels like a night out in NYC right in Sydney, then this is the spot. Can't wait to go back.

Went here for the martini and taro reading event which is quite a fun concept. I think it was much more busy than they anticipated. We had booked a table and no one answered the door until well after the reservation started. It took a long time to have our order taken, and even then it wasn’t seamless service. The staff were accommodating but didn’t seem very interested in the event which was a shame. The reading itself was amazing, I hope they continue offering this and work on improving the overall sequence of service.

An actual hidden speakeasy experience! The entrance already sets the mood; walking down a narrow, dimly lit hallway feels like stepping into a secret world. Inside, the atmosphere is warm, cozy, and perfectly intimate for cocktails with friends. The bar team is skilled and attentive, crafting drinks with outstanding balance and beautiful presentation. The cocktails we ordered were refreshing and well-made, and watching the bartenders work behind the bar was a highlight in its own right. The space is stylish with soft lighting, wooden textures, and a relaxed vibe. It can get a bit dark in some areas, but it adds to the speakeasy charm. Overall, a fun and memorable spot for anyone who enjoys unique bars and good cocktails. Definitely worth a visit!

It’s one of those hidden gems in Sydney that you might miss if you don’t check the map twice! Walk down the stairs and through the corridor until you reach the beautiful red doors — that’s where the magic begins. The atmosphere is incredible: dark, moody, and effortlessly sexy. Perfect for a first date or an intimate night out. The drinks were fantastic, and we shared a little cheese platter (which I forgot to photograph — sorry!). It was absolutely lovely. Definitely a must-try spot!
