This walk has everything, waterfall, temperate forests, views up and down, swimming holes, one day walk in-out, overnight or longer. Beautiful Blue gum forests, but it will test your climbing up and down endurance. Take your time it is worthwhile.
Beautiful sight to see
The river in the valley is incredibly beautiful. Some intersections feature some unique beautiful colouring in the water, like jade green. If you're a casual to medium hiker I would save the trek up and down for a cooler weather day.. Anything 25+ the unshaded areas over the hours will catch up with you. Unless camping overnight, up and down with a group and lookout stops and lunch took approx 8 hours including a 1hr lunch break. I had 3 litres of water and rehydrating salts and I ran out of water 3/4's in and was super dehydrated. A few things to consider but totally recommended for the adventure and beauty!
Bush fires devastated this once beautiful area last year. It's growing back but has a long way to go
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
