The Local Bean at Knightsbridge

in my visits the service has been quite fast which is appreciated! brief yet friendly as well :) in the first instant i purchased an iced mocha which was lovely. perfectly sweet yet balanced by the notes of espresso not drowned out by the chocolate :) second time i got a protein smoothie which was also quite balanced and worth the price. however, i’d not purchase the iced matcha i had bought - as it was quite tasteless (as reflected by the very pale green shade) and strangely had no ice (perhaps forgotten, perhaps melted fast? i didn’t originally notice it as i was in a hurry) and tasted like steamed milk. i don’t think the matcha is of best quality or used heavy handedly so that can use some work. but that’s alright, i will still come again for the smoothie and coffee as i think that’s a stronger suit of their beverage menu. similarly, i’d love to try some of the food and captivating specials listed :))

Absolutely loved this cafe! It had a warm and welcoming atmosphere which was the perfect place to relax. The coffee was the best and clearly made with care and the food was delicious. The waiting time was fast with quality and the staff were really attentive, friendly and genuinely passionate about what they do. We absolutely love this café! It’s run by a lovely husband and wife who are always so friendly and welcoming — you can tell they really care about what they do. The coffee here is the best in the area, no question about it. The food is always fresh and tasty, and I love that they make their juices right in front of you — real fresh juice, not the bottled kind that most places serve these days. Their menu often changes with new specials or something different to try, and it’s always spot on. The staff are fantastic and the place just has a great local feel. If I ever get my coffee outside, it’s only from here — otherwise, I don’t bother! A true gem in Knightsbridge — highly recommend.

From a Melbourne coffee snob. Great little spot! The coffee is decent and the egg & bacon roll really hit the spot — tasty, good portion, and excellent value for money. Service was warm and friendly, which made the experience even better. A reliable go-to for a quality breakfast and coffee. Highly recommend!

We are regulars yet we've never completed a review. This place is the local community's staple. Coffee is the best. Food yum everytime. It's just so easy and great atmosphere. Service is efficient and polite. Family atmosphere. They are ALWAYS busy. Wait on food is quite reasonable considering how busy they get. Thought I'd do this review as it's thoroughly deserved.
