A rustic tavern showcasing beautiful cultural charm! The staff were so welcoming and helpful. They took the time to explain the menu to us and shared a little bit about their cultural heritage which inspired the awesome decor they've got displayed all throughout the restaurant. I definitely encourage you to take the time to immerse yourself in the restaurant's setup and decor. Everywhere you look there's something new and quirky to see. It is evident that a lot of time, thought and history exist within these walls. There's ample seating options to choose from indoor (both downstairs and upstairs) and an outdoor beer garden (which includes a small play area for the kids). The food was well and truly a warm hug for the soul. Every dish was made with love and very 'homey' - nothing short of fitting the 'comfort food' category to the T!
Great snacking options to go with drinks, and a schnitzel that was thin but not dry. Loved the smoked cheese. We really enjoyed the vibe and the friendly service.
We had a large group, did one of the group options Food was average, dry and relatively tastless. Drinks if you dont drink alcohol or are designated driver are very expensive, glass of coke I've to top $6.50 People who drank beer seemed happy. Pork crackling was probably the highlight. Didn't appear to be any AC just a ceiling fan.
I am Czech, but i live in USA. We are in Sydney for Marathon run. This place is great, food taste great, svickova a koprovka 15 of 10. good job guys! And Plzenske pivo - top!
I’m pretty sure I’ve been to Tommy’s in the past for their schnitzel, but tonight we decided to try the Czech food, and wow—it did not disappoint! The experience was made even better thanks to our friend Eliska, who guided us through the dishes like a pro. We shared three different dishes, and each had its own distinct flavor, which was great because nothing felt repetitive. The red cabbage had a lovely sweetness to it, while the white cabbage had a milder, tangy flavor—both paired perfectly with the meals. Overall, the food was fantastic, the vibe was great, and the night couldn’t have been better. I had an awesome experience and will definitely be back!
