V&A really exceeded our expectations and felt like we were staying with friends! The place is full of amazing antiques and the staff are second to none - welcoming, friendly, helpful. The continental breakfasts were great and, like all of the rooms, had charm and ambience. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant - try the warm pear tart!
Unique in the best possible way. Beautifully renovated, with the hallways, side rooms and even nooks and crannies filled with unusual and often beautiful exhibits, showcasing both 19th century Europe and Blue Mountains history. There are also lovely gardens to look out on from the breakfast room, and the restaurant serves top notch dinners, again in a beautifully decorated room. Highly recommended as a very special experience!
We stayed here after a Sydney work trip and we wanted a little R&R in the blue mountains. Lorna was fantastic with checking in as we were stuck in traffic due to a bad accident. She arranged for us to have dinner on arrival in the dining room. We were not sure what to expect relating to dinner but it was 5 ⭐. So beautiful and wonderfully friendly staff. The guesthouse was beautifully decorated for Christmas and it felt so cosy. Beds were comfy and warm with electric blankets. Breakfast was great as well. This was a hidden gem and we all agreed that we would certainly rebook on our next trips to the blue mountains.
I recently booked a stay at the Victoria & Albert Guesthouse in Mt Victoria for my visitors from Germany, and the whole experience was fantastic. Lona at reception was incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating – she really set the tone for a great stay. The hotel itself is full of charm and character, beautifully renovated and thoughtfully decorated. It has that warm, nostalgic atmosphere you can’t find in modern hotels, while still feeling fresh and comfortable. My only suggestion would be to update the photos and online presence, as the current images don’t truly reflect how lovely this place is in person. Otherwise, highly recommended!
A friendly place to stay, wonderful staff who obviously enjoy what they do. The restaurant food is superb, I've been there for a function and for dinner with friends and this time we stayed for a few days. They have managed to carry out substantial quality renovations and still keep the historic feel of the guesthouse. Having lounge rooms to sit in with friends was a real bonus. The garden is amazing! Looking forward to our next visit.
