Birthplace of ABBEY, a foundation Australian Stock Horse sire. This pub has enormous heritage and cultural value, and will hopefully be operated and maintained for many generations to come. A sacred site for Aussies to reconnect with our proud equine past.
Worst pub I have ever stayed in. Bathroom had not been cleaned in weeks, meals were disgraceful. Cook (local drunk) didn’t know what gluten free was so 1 of our group went without a meal. Hopefully it sells soon before the current owner lets it go to ruins
Went to a fund raiser trivia night on Saturday worst experience ever. It did not start well when I asked for a gin and tonic - no tonic asked for a sparkling wine - no sparkling only two choices of wine a red or a white . Food was nothing to brag about the trivia area where most people ate was disgraceful given that majority of patrons were smoking- it was not really nice eating food surrounded with the aroma of smoke Had to wait 45 minutes for a bowl of wedges. Disappointing evening won't be back
Went to a trivia find raiser with a 2 drink minimum, no tonic for a gin and tonic no sparkling white wine only choice of one white wine, food was less than average had nachos, very salty, on table parmi and schnitzels with chips came out cold. Smoking allowed in eating area. Not a pleasant experience. Will not be back
Spent two nights after our camping trip was rained out and had such a fun time. Very welcoming staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds. Yummy food. A great pub - visit!
