On Tuesday 14 October I stopped at Fitzroy Falls for a late lunch at The Burrow Cafe. This was a carefully planned stop due to medical treatment I'm presently undergoing. After paying $4.00 to park, I arrived at the Cafe and was greeted by a sign stating that the Cafe was closed today. What?! I again checked the website, thinking I must have made a mistake, but no, it clearly stated that it was open. How can a business expect to succeed with this sort of poor attention to management detail? I travel this route every month, but unfortunately won't be stopping here again, hoping to get a meal. Update - Wow, what a 'professional' response from the owner to constructive criicism. I paid the parking fee at the carpark BEFORE walking to the building (the normal thing to do) and seeing the sign saying the Cafe was closed. I know the parking fee is for access to the Park, but your Cafe is within the Park. My medical issue had everything to do with your business. I needed to have a meal at a certain time, and your Cafe was advertised as being open. Speaking to someone else outside the Cafe, I was told this wasn't the first time she'd found it closed, despite it being advertised as open. Apparently the food is good, I don't know, but this unreliability with opening/closing hours is a sure way to lose customers.

Disappointing. With all the great reviews, I was expecting something sensational or at least average. Came here for lunch but there was virtually no food. It was a beautiful, sunny Sunday with plenty of tourists but no huge crowds. The only thing I could buy was chips! Even the menu was unimaginative... Pies, sausage rolls, focaccia with Nutella, focaccia with Vegemite. (Couldn't buy any of these) The place looked tired and worn out. The food shop next door had nothing special. It should be full of local produce. Well, the chips were great! As a tourist center, this is such a wasted opportunity. As a local, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Fitzroy Falls is an amazing place to visit and go for walks but bring your own food. There are plenty of picnic areas, heaps of parking and it's easy to get around.

Stopped by on an early morning slog from Canberra to Sydney. No complaints with the view of the falls (!), or with the coffee taste (very good). However, the 3 breakfast rolls were absolutely stone cold, and we needed to get them reheated (if indeed they had actually been heated in the first place). Also, we were still waiting for one drink when we left after about 45 minutes. Appreciate how tough it is for small businesses, but service like this is unlikely to win too many new clients. A real shame, but I'd like to think we were the exception rather than the rule.

Had the spiced Carrot soup and focaccia. It was bangin! My partner had the wrap changed to garlic chicken, also bangin. Chips also bangin. Well done girls

I was expecting the usual bland and over priced tourist cafe but was very pleasantly surprised to find such a tasty and well presented eatery with local produce. I ordered a coffee and the sausage roll with their own homemade tomato sauce which is up there with the best I’ve ever tasted. Next time I’d love to try the smash burger. Everything on the menu looked well priced for the quality. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area.
