What people say
I arrived at the Peakhurst Hotel today to book a birthday celebration for my partner on the 21st of March, and I just wanted to say how wonderful the experience was. When I went to reception, I was greeted by Mandy, who was absolutely lovely. She was friendly, welcoming, and very efficient while helping me organise the booking for our party. Her customer service was outstanding and she made the whole process feel easy and stress free. While I was there, I also asked about the disco night they are hosting on the 21st of March. Mandy spoke very highly of the event and even showed me a video from one of their previous 70s and 80s disco nights. It looked like such a fantastic atmosphere…the dance floor was full and everyone looked like they were having a great time. Seeing that made me even more excited about celebrating my partner’s birthday there. It’s always refreshing to be welcomed by staff who genuinely enjoy what they do and take the time to make customers feel comfortable. Mandy really made a great impression and is a wonderful representative of the venue. Thank you for the great service today…I’m really looking forward to celebrating there.
Pre booked online and on arrival there was a mix up with the seating arrangement. Mandy quickly sorted us out and fixed the mix up. Qudos to her accomodating and friendly service! Being a regular here the food is consistently delicious and there is a wide range of quality pub style dishes with tremendous value! Service and vibe is perfect for a Sunday lunch. Highly recommended. Two thumbs up 👍🏻 👍🏻
We had a fantastic time at The Peakhurst. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of space whether you’re catching up with friends or enjoying a family meal. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive without being over the top, which made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. The food came out quickly and was fresh, generous, and full of flavour. You can tell they put care into the menu. Drinks were well‑priced and the bar team knew their stuff. Overall, it’s one of those places you’re happy to return to—reliable, comfortable, and great for all ages. Highly recommend if you’re after a solid local with good food and even better service.
My teen daughter and I stayed for two nights while attending a nearby event, and we genuinely couldn’t be happier with the experience. Every staff member we encountered was kind, considerate, and incredibly helpful. The downstairs venue had a great atmosphere and was buzzing in the best way, and our room service order was just as impressive (food was yummy!) Our room setup felt like a connected suite, giving us plenty of space and everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and it all made for a really easy, enjoyable stay. Highly recommend if you’re after a convenient, comfortable, and fuss‑free place to stay.
We recently celebrated my husband’s 60th and our daughter’s 21st at The Peakhurst, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. A special thank you to Mandy , who helped coordinate the food and set-up — she was incredibly accommodating, easy to deal with, and nothing was ever a problem. The planning process was smooth and stress-free, which made such a difference for a special family event. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and every member of staff made us and our guests feel genuinely welcome. It was relaxed, well organised, and enjoyable for everyone. We keep coming back to The Peakhurst for exactly these reasons — great food, great service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend.
