Lovely place for lunch & dinner. Food was spectacular, plentiful and delicious. Can be a little loud, but thats ok when you're with great company.

Wednesday 8th October 2025 Between 12:30pm - 2pm Went with my parents here for the very first time (was going to the main club at Woolooware, but it said they were doing some renovations until 2026 but didn't say when exactly they'd re-open, so ended up searching for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks other bistros or clubs or dining facilities, and ended up finding Cove Bar & Grill at Kareela) Experience:- - the waitstaffs were really nice and offered a friendly, welcoming service towards customers at every table. - cosy & spacious atmosphere which in turns gives out the dining comfort - had pepperoni pizza, mixed grill, pork chop, Caesar salad - pepperoni pizza was good, however it tasted more lik salami rather than pepperoni. Coming from chef experience, it seems that's what it tasted like. Crust was good. Pizza's WAAYYY BETTER than Domino's pizza & pizza hut. No comparison. - pork chop was cooked perfectly. Loved the gnocchi and creamy sauce with it. (May I suggest in addition to add some mixed herbs or chopped garlic to give it more aroma?) - mixed grill: a) sauce was good but abit watery it should be abit thicker. b) chicken was too dry & lamb skewers was tough & tasted like beef. c) Halloumi cheese was good. d) salad & flat bread (if that's what you call it) had good texture and chips were crispy. Overall: the mixed grill was quite exy for the portions they give. 2 skewers A tub of sauce A tiny bowl of salad NOT EVEN a handful of chips A chicken breast All for the price of $40+. The mixed grill isn't worth it despite the flavour being good, it was abit dry as well. - Caesar salad was good, but could be better. Will be trying the Shark's other club or dining facilities next year probably going to the main sports leagues club when they re-open after renovations. If anyone knows when they'd be reopened, please let me know. Went to the bar area, to get a jug of water, the guys working there were friendly too. We were too full from our meals we actually wanted to get some coffee, but no more room in our tummies LoL 😜 This place at kareela could also get a better view rather than the golf course lookout. Atmosphere, again was brilliant and nice and peaceful. And It's like it's "hidden" surrounded by hills. Makes me wonder how hot the summer time at 45 degrees Celsius would be 😜 since it's surrounded by hills it would "trap" the hot air. Carpark is outdoors, but I think it would be better if there's shelter for all weather types. Thank you for the meals & customer service at Kareela. Hopefully, I get similar experience or better at the main sharks sports leagues club PS. funnily enough we were the only ones with Asian background dining there. Guess more Asians at the Cronulla side especially the sports leagues club that's now under renovation. Hope it's not too expensive then. However, at kareela, the meals were filling. Those that haven't been there, becareful of what you order!! Otherwise you couldn't finish off your meals!! And it's expensive, for BOTH members & non members/ visitors.

Visiting from Qld I dined here on Saturday night with my elderly father who likes to go here for his Hawaiian pizza with extra pineapple(which he usually takes home). The staff were so attentive seating us and taking our order and the lovely waitress made a point of letting Dad know that she knew his pizza order, which he was rather chuffed about. I had the chicken breast on their specials board and it was cooked exceptionally well. There is a really nice family friendly vibe and all of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was very busy and the service was still prompt. The floor staff really take care of their customers here and I noticed them attending to everyone in a very caring way. Meals are well priced. Highly recommend

I refused to eat here for a long time as it was terrible and still the same people operating the restaurant I thought maybe after a year or so they may have sorted things out. Unfortunately no, we basically had reheated leftovers tonight at about $30 per person. Hard to support my local if this is the standard. See attached photo of last week's roast potato they recycled for tonight. Pity as I enjoy the club besides the food Update , have been desperate enough to eat here again, salad represented something made the week before, tomatoes were nearly rotting. How hard is it to make a fresh salad

Part of the Sharks sports club, this restaurant is suitable for families too. We have just walked in without advance booking but staff managed to arrange a table for us. Ordered food and drinks did not take long to be served. You can enjoy the views while having dinner. Food was good and reasonably priced.
