We went today for the first time here on holidays and most definitely will be the last. We had to pay $3 extra for sauce for each meal, including gravy’s, aoli and tomato and bbq sauce. We got a kids fish and chips$12 + the extra $3 for sauce. $12 for a kids meal in the Hunter that would include a free drink aswell as an ice cream and even a little kids activity book (ALL INCLUDED IN A KIDS MEAL) We got just over a dozen chips and 2 fish pieces the size of chips. (Very small.) When we said something to the kitchen they laughed and didn’t take what we were talking about seriously. We ordered 1 kids meal and 4 other meals. We waited close to 40mins after our kids meals to receive our meals which is ridiculous When we went back to get our other meals the chef was very arrogant and saying stuff under his breath while looking at us which was very rude My partner has food poisoning from the chicken parmi that he ordered hasn’t left the toilet since we got back to the caravan park(thanks🙄) The menus were absolutely filthy and so much disgusting residue stuff on them The high chairs also were not clean (didn’t get a photo bc didn’t think too) Our “salad” is just crap Ton of green grass shoved into a small cup/bowl and on top is just carrot 3 bits of onion & 2 tomatoes with a little dressing definitely wasn’t expecting that as a “salad” Over all horrible experience such a shame definitely first and last time coming back the behaviour from the kitchen staff was disappointing, disrespectful, unprofessional and appalling

We had a very negative experience having our dinner here last night. There is an older lady at the bistro who is extremely rude and really should not be in customer service. Before I even placed my order, she was being very rude to the lovely lady in front of me who simply wanted some mustard with her dinner and forgot to ask when she ordered. The attitude that the customer received felt way over the top from this member of staff. I work in a bistro and we would never treat someone like that. I ordered 3 meals for my partner and I, one of which was a loaded fries. I asked for the ranch on the side as my partner does not eat sauce. When the meal arrived, it had this thick cheese sauce on top of it, like from a bottle and my partner simply won't eat that. and honestly for $25 for loaded fries, it should have cheese that's melted under the combi. It's just laziness. Even I tried to eat it as someone that likes sauce but the taste was horrible. My partner took it back to the kitchen and asked if he could get it without the cheese sauce and the young girl that served him was very nice about it, but when I went to pick it up, I got very rudely spoken to by this older lady. Firstly she yelled "Hey!" at me before I was even at the counter (which is very unprofessional behaviour) and started ranting about how I asked for ranch on the side but not the cheese which I explained was because we were unaware it had a cheese sauce and not real cheese and that the menu should state that it is. This woman is very rude and brash and made the whole experience extremely unpleasant for us. We are locals but we will have to find another location to go out for dinner.

Food was delicious, and came out super fast. Asked for rare steak and it came out spot on and the loaded fries where the best ive ever had.

Honestly probably some of the worst food I’ve ever had. My partner and I had the salt and pepper calamari which was extremely fishy… followed by 2x surf and turf sirloin medium/rare.. the first two steaks we got came out so well done they weren’t even edible. I complained about the steaks being way too over done as we did pay $80 for both of them… they did remake the steaks for us which did come out medium- rare the second time, but honestly I’m not sure if they were frozen or just some of the worst cuts of meet I’ve ever had. The steaks were so dry and so hard to chew. We basically left two full steaks on the plate plus the prawns as again they were so fishy. The jalapeño wontons were decent and enjoyable. But for food I do not recommend this place at all.
