Stag & Hunter Hotel

This is one hell of a cool pub! So much History and they’ve managed to blend the oldschool charm with a modern twist. The band room is incredible, the Soundsystem is the next level and this is a highly respected venue from all Newcastle musicians. Lots of parking out the back friendly staff and a great atmosphere what more can you ask for!

We had a pre-Christmas team dinner one weekday in December. We were about 30 of us, seated across two large tables. We had preordered our mains. There was bread ready on the table when we arrived. The drink orders taken at the bar were delivered efficiently. Very soon, the mains service began. The staff did a wonderful job of serving everyone quickly. I was the last to be served. But the vegetarian pizza I had asked was hot, large and quite well made. The large size meant that I could only finish half then, and took the other half home for dinner! All the other mains also looked large and well made. I will be happy to visit here again.

I had dinner at Stag and Hunter Hotel and really enjoyed it. I had the chicken schnitzel and it was delicious. The vibe was relaxed and pleasant for a weekday evening, and the girls at the counter were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I know it can get a bit rowdy on weekend nights, but for a weekday dinner it was very nice and easygoing.

Great place for a beer, watch sports & a feed. Had the chicken wings, went perfectly with the Stone & Wood 👍

Great beer selection and funky little pub. I have only eaten here twice. The first occasion during the week there was a good selection of the usual pub grub. Reasonable priced meals and good portion sizes. The second time was on a weekend lunch. Pizza only selection that nice but not mind blowing. Amenities could definitely do with a refresh in the main dining are but are clean and tidy. I would recommend this for a meal of drink.
