What people say
Dear Reader, It is not often that one stumbles upon an establishment worthy of such enthusiastic praise, yet The Junction Inn has managed the feat most admirably. Word is spreading quickly that this newly refreshed venue has undergone renovations most pleasing to the eye, creating an atmosphere both elegant and inviting. Your humble observer can confirm that the service is as warm as the welcome one hopes for, delivered with genuine friendliness and remarkable efficiency. Meals arrive with admirable promptness, and, most importantly, piping hot. The pork roast was nothing short of splendid, while the garlic prawns proved equally irresistible. One might even say this was the finest pub meal enjoyed in quite some time. Should you find yourself in search of a most satisfying feed, dear reader, it would be wise to make your way to The Junction Inn without delay. Yours most observantly, Lady Wilton of The Terrace
Had the best roast pork lunch I have ever had at a pub or club. Great price and the crackling was superb. Fantastic atmosphere near the river with balcony views.
We booked online a few months ago for a New Years Eve lunch and we were not disappointed. The outside terrace overlooking the Hunter River was fantastic. Food was delicious. The only issue was how loud the metal chairs were as people dragged them in and out.
Very lovely pub, the best in town by far, all of the amenities were fantastic and our meals were incredible. We had a couple of pizzas which are wood fired and so delicious. Beer lines fresh, Guinness poured perfectly. Great to overlook the river. I highly recommend if anyone is around or in the area it’s a great place for the family and friends. And well priced!
What a great view from the dining area upstairs. I ordered Sausages and mash. A bit disappointing to be honest. For the price I would have thought they would be a better quality sausage. The taste of the binding in the sausage was the strongest flavour of the whole dish. How can you stuff up bangers and mash? They did. My partner had the roast pork with Yorkshire Pudding. Where was the Yorkshire Pudding?? Don’t have it on the menu if you don’t cook it. The crackling was good and crackling, but had been boost cooked in the oven, off the pork and had no flavour of pork. Overall, we were not happy with the food, but the atmosphere was good. Perhaps don’t choose these two dishes. The hotel has a lot going for it if the kitchen staff were up to the task.
