What people say
This place should be extraordinary but the trails have been destroyed by motorbikes. Some of the erosion is 2 metres deep and in other places 20 metres wide. When the erosion gets too bad to pass they just make another path, and another. The cuttings through the clay layer are creating creeks that are draining away the water table. It's bloody awful to see this kind of careless destruction. I'd love to take friends here to show them the amazing rocky lookout but I just couldn't.
This is one of my favourite walks on the Northern Beaches; this vast bare rock platform surely was a place of immense Aboriginal value as the views to the east over Narrabeen lagoon and to the Pacific and to the west a great view from the heights of Wakehurst Parkway. You can see Turtle Rock in the morning sunshine today
beautiful place to walk or ride to have picnic lunch , about 4 km from red hill and short distance from cromer . scenic view over narrabeen lagoon .
