I took my son to show him some local history. Our families first dinner there...Boys ordered steaks, obviously! Food was perfection! Staff were fantastic, so friendly and lovely! Food was impeccable, huge servings! Surf and turf and Hawaiian snitty were on point! Atmosphere was great! Will definitely be returning!!!

Stopped in for a beer. The pub is a little quirky. The high bar is a stand-up. Fire was going and that always creates a nice atmosphere. Recommend people stop by and support these remote hotels

Walked down from Red Dust Naturist Retreat to The Black Stump last night. Lovely atmosphere, friendly people - staff & customers, shared a great Pizza. Very relaxing and a fun way to end the day!

⭐️ Black Stump Hotel On arrival, we were greeted by a lovely, friendly older lady, all the other people were very nice and friendly also which was the best part of the experience. Unfortunately, that’s where it ended. The woman who took our food order was so very different she was extremely rude and unfriendly, completely killing the atmosphere. One person’s attitude really can ruin a whole night — and it did. The steak was very tough and was easily the worst meal we’ve had on our entire trip. If you don’t like people, hospitality is the wrong job. Management seriously needs to address both staff attitude and food quality.
