Cool little bar with a really intimate vibe - food is BYO and there are a number of great restaurants in the shops surrounding it. Street parking is easy, bartender was lovely and live music was sensational. Would recommend!
Fabulous Sydney venue that hosts live music practically every night of the week. It's cosy and only holds 47 people, but it's perfect for intimate performances and small gatherings. Great atmosphere, and beautiful funky decor. What a find! I hadn't been to this venue before but will definitely be back. Caroline was so welcoming and accommodating, and the service from barman Frankie was excellent. Butcher's Brew is a real gem! Free parking and plenty of dining options close by too.
What a fabulous and welcoming place!! The Butchers Brew Bar is a cool and quirky, relaxed, safe and friendly venue that provides amazingly high quality and creative live entertainment. The variety of live entertainment is incredible. They also have arrangements with nearby local food outlets to enable you to bring in food to go with the drinks from the bar. Every time when we leave the Butchers Brew Bar after a show we're always on such a high buzz and are feeling great. The owner and staff truly put their hearts into running a fine venue and making everyone comfortable and happy. Highly recommend this fabulous bar!!!
This is a fabulous venue with a great attitude to providing entertainment without the commercial style focus on profits. It's got such a friendly feel with warmth and inclusion.
I was honestly going to leave a lower star review, but, as I sometimes do, I read through some other reviews and thoroughly enjoyed the amazing responses from the owner to some of the lower star reviews, almost as much as I enjoyed Koffi Gervais' great performance on the night. The owner's responses gave me better insight into why certain things are the way they are. Yes, it did bother me that there's no food, and is a tight place, but their support of the diverse eateries around them as well as offering cutlery and crockery for you to enjoy food you bring from outside is actually a great idea. Their support of the music scene is quite appreciated. The barman was extremely kind and friendly, the place (in addition to the bathroom) was very clean. Their focus on the quality of bar drinks and music/bands reduces their income and makes the cover charge fee reasonable. If you don't mind a smaller place and cozier vibe, then check out their various events and book tickets for one that suits your taste in music to enjoy a nice night out.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
