Solstice is a cafe in Summer Hill where dog access has not yet been confirmed — it's worth checking before you visit.
Solstice is a vibe. They can rock out an espresso based coffee but the filter and specialty coffee is where they shine. Decaf and tea options available. The staff are kind and knowledgeable. Entirely unpretentious and there are an equal number of women/femme humans on the machine 💪. It attracts lots of Queers so you might run into your ex but you’ll be so distracted by tasty pastries that it won’t be an issue. Also you might run into me so there is a bonus for you 😆. The entrance has a low step, and the space is not accessible for wheelchair users but the undercover outdoor tables are lovely and the staff are happy to oblige. Clean toilet available.
lovely spot for dine in, the pretzel bagel is a must try. friendliest staff and the attention to detail - beautiful latte art even on my takeaway drink!!
Solstice is nestled on Summer Hill’s smith street and was a beautiful visit. Coffee was generously sized and very well made - along with the chocolate croissant, fresh with an abundance of chocolate. Highly recommend dining in to fully embrace the cozy interior and intimate atmosphere.
Absolutely brilliant coffee, great food and great vibes. The staff are super friendly and nice and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Can't stop coming back, this is our new go-to spot in Summer Hill. Would highly recommend! (also shout out to their specialty filter coffee, they are excellent)
I haven’t tried the pastries yet, but they look absolutely tempting—perfect golden browning and that “fresh from the oven” vibe that makes you want to grab one immediately. The real reason we keep coming back, though, is the coffee. While we haven’t ventured into the more creative coffee styles they offer, the classic brews have been consistently excellent. Smooth, rich, and never bitter—just the way coffee should be. Every cup feels like it’s made with care, and that consistency is something we really appreciate. The atmosphere is another big win. It’s got a chill, retro vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer. The staff are always smiling and friendly, chatting with locals and building genuine connections. We haven’t had those longer conversations ourselves yet, but we completely understand—they’re busy and always on the go. Still, that sense of community adds a lovely touch to the experience. All in all, great coffee, great vibe, and pastries that look worth coming back for. Highly recommend if you’re after quality coffee and a welcoming space.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
