Disappointing. My pie had been in the warmer a long while and was quite dried out. The pear and raspberry bread was lacking in pears and raspberries and the butter so hard it was still rock hard when the toasted bread had gone cold. The coffee was nothing special and didn't make the stop here in any way worthwhile. It's card only for payment so be warned.
The atmosphere feels the same but food is mainly pre-prepared so don't come here expecting everything to be freshly made. We can on one of the wettest weekends so the view wasn't at its best but I've been here during nice summer days and we've always had a great experience looking around at the historical furniture and browsing the local produce and crafts. Worth visiting if you haven't been before to check it out.
Don’t bother, we went for a coffee/cake and walked straight out. The cake slices look like they were sitting there for a while, the wraps as well. The food counter was empty. Dark dreary interior , the view is spectacular though. This could become a beautiful cafe. Don’t waste your time only if you like displays of old cash registers.
I have attended the Pavilion Cafe a number of times and aways had great coffee and food until today. The coffee was average at best and just warm. As for the food which we usually have the same every visit ( veggie toasty and a bruen toasty) is usually very good that's why we get them. Today both although toasted on outside the filling was cold, not hot enough to melt cheese. Not the quantity we expect at this café especially at the prices you pay. We wanted to say something to the only lady at the counter (the one that takes the order, makes the food, serves the food, cleans the tables) but she was so busy with the Sunday crowd we just left. For God sake Hydro get someone to help her, pay for another person to help out and then the quantity of the food might not drop as much. And one last gripe some suit from admin must think that no cash, card only is a good idea, not. And by the way I think you might find Hydro that the accc thinks that if you only give customer's the card choice and not cash also you are not supposed to charge an additional fee to use card...which they do. Anyway not going back after today's effort...hope it improves
Love this spot beautiful place for lunch and dinner with amazing view and sunset would be breathtaking
