What people say
It’s a treasure that hiding in the mountain and waiting for you to find it. From Centennial Glen car park down to the waterfall, not too easy, better to go there in good weather condition. The water is nice and cold. My kids love it. It’s an area which can allow you to bring your dog. So surprise.
Sweet spot, very nice little steep at the bottom but mid level hike. Multiple falls and views!
This is one of the best hiking spots in Sydney. You can start your hike near Blackheath Station. I went to visit the Centennial Grove Grotto, which took about an hour to reach. I really enjoyed the walk, especially because I saw a cockatoo with a different colour that I had never seen before. I also came across some large red mushrooms. You’re likely to discover even more interesting plants and wildlife along the way. The main destination was amazing—the water and air were incredibly clean and fresh. While I was there, I saw someone swinging into the water, so if you’re interested in doing the same, it’s a good idea to bring your swimsuit. Don’t forget to pack some food and drinks—you’ll definitely enjoy the experience
One of those places you don't want to tell anyone about... we did the walk with our 2 young kids. Our 5 year old mostly did the hike independently and we carried our 2 year old. So it is very possible... the stairs do not get very steep until towards the end. You won't regret it.
Not the longest, or challenging of walks to get to this canyon, but well worth the effort to get there. Quite easy if you have kids or aren’t as nimble as you used to be. The freshness of the water and air around you, as well as the views along the way make this an incredible experience. I highly recommend you try for yourself on a beautiful sunny weekend day.
