Village Crown is a dog-friendly pub in Zetland with outdoor space. Visiting pups are well looked after with water bowls and treats, while Joynton Park is just a short walk away for a walk with your dog. Some conditions apply, so it's worth checking before you visit.
Dogs are welcome in the outdoor area; indoor access depends on crowds/space on the day — best to check.
Our new favourite pub in the area. They are super dog friendly and the drinks are delicious. The mulled wine tastes like straight from the European Christmas markets and the cocktails were also all delicious so far. All of the staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make your visit more enjoyable. Our dog even got treats! He sure will be coming back 😅
We ordered the rump steak, which came with chips and salad, and you can also choose sauces such as mushroom or pepper, which was a nice option. We also tried the Szechuan Calamari, which was really delicious and well seasoned. They have a nice house wine as well. Parking is easy, there’s parking available at Zetland Coles, which is free for up to 1.5 hours. You pay before you eat, which makes the process quick and easy and you get the table number. The staff will bring the food to your table. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and great value. We came on a Thursday evening quite busy around 7pm
As a local, this used to be my go-to place to catch up with mates on a weekly basis. I've been a regular here for the past five years, which is why I'm sharing this feedback—I genuinely want to see this venue succeed, as it's been my local for a long time. The pub food used to be one of the highlights, but unfortunately, the quality has noticeably declined. My main concern is the inconsistency of the meals, particularly the steaks and schnitzels. Sometimes the steak portions are generous and cooked well, while other times they're much smaller and don't offer the same value. The presentation can also be disappointing, with some dishes looking quite different from the menu photos and occasionally appearing as though they were rushed onto the plate. What's frustrating is that the food quality can vary significantly. On some visits, the meals are excellent, while on others, they leave you wondering whether enough care and attention is being put into the kitchen. I believe whoever is overseeing the menu and food preparation needs to focus more on consistency and delivering the standard that regular customers have come to expect. I apologise if this comes across as harsh, but it's coming from someone who has supported this venue for years and genuinely wants to see it do well. On a positive note, the drinks on tap are always great, and the bar staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, which is one of the reasons I still come in after a long shift. Overall, my only real concern is with the food. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as this venue has the potential to be as good as it once was.
Amazing place and amazing atmosphere went to this restaurant are on a Friday night and it has DJ music as well such a good place to eat and relax. The food are very decent and tasty.
An excellent experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, with well-balanced flavours and fresh ingredients that truly make a difference. The presentation of each dish was impeccable, and the portion sizes were just right. The service was attentive, efficient and genuinely friendly, always present without being intrusive. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it perfect for a romantic dinner or a relaxed meal with friends and family. Without a doubt, a place I would happily return to and highly recommend.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
