Kyeemagh is one of the more accessible and easygoing dog beaches, with very calm, shallow water that makes it especially good for nervous dogs or those learning to swim. The gentle conditions mean dogs can wade in gradually without dealing with waves.
There is a dedicated car park right by the dog beach, making access simple and direct without a long walk in. The beach runs alongside the airport runway, so you'll often see planes taking off overhead, which adds a bit of novelty to the experience. There's limited shade directly on the sand, but nearby grassy areas with trees offer a place to cool off after time in the water.
Off-leash beach section at Lady Robinsons Beach between gates 60 and 61.
Very friendly area for dogs to play and they all seemed very friendly with each other. Parking near by and you csn watch the planes take off just opposite so all in all great little area.
Excellent off-leash dog beach with easy access just off the main road. Enough parking for maybe a dozen cars. Great views of the airport for watching take off's and landings as well.
Kyeemagh Off Leash Dog Beach is undoubtedly one of the best spots for dog owners looking to give their dogs a day of fun and freedom. The beach is spacious and sandy, offering plenty of room for dogs to run, play, and enjoy the open space. While there is no shade directly on the beach, it is a place designed to embrace the sunlight and the refreshing ocean breeze, which makes for an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights of this beach is its proximity to Kingsford Smith Airport. The planes are close enough to make out the patterns on their tails, providing a fascinating spectacle, yet they are far enough away that their noise does not become a distraction for the dogs. It is an exciting feature, especially for those who enjoy watching aircraft, but it never detracts from the peacefulness of the beach. Although the waves can occasionally be rough, they are generally calm, allowing dogs to safely wade into the water. My own dogs, who are typically apprehensive around rough water, have no hesitation in walking into the shallows to fetch their ball. This beach provides the perfect balance of gentle waves and a stunning, peaceful environment. For those seeking a quieter experience, I highly recommend visiting during weekday afternoons. The beach tends to be much less crowded, offering a serene and private space for dogs and owners to enjoy I also appreciate the responsibility demonstrated by fellow dog owners. The beach is always kept clean, and with dog bags and bins readily available, it is easy to ensure the area stays tidy. I have never encountered any mess on the beach, which speaks to the great care and consideration given by everyone who visits. I highly recommend Kyeemagh Off Leash Dog Beach for anyone looking for a clean, peaceful, and enjoyable spot to let their dog have some freedom, all while enjoying the calming ocean breeze and unique plane views.
Great beach ⛱️ to take your dog 🐕 👍 to socialise. Great views of Botany Bay and Sydney airport 🛫 runway. Watch the the planes landing and taking off. There was a variety of birds 🐦 I saw 👀 yellow tailed black parrots 🦜 close up, they were surprisingly friendly. I saw a robin singing and many swallows. And a 2 red Wattlebirds singing in the tree but the you can't see them in the photo I took due to they were the same colour as the tree
If you live anywhere near here and you've got a dog, this is the place for you and your little or not so little dog. There's plenty of space, lots of dogs, calm waters, and lovely views. You have water fountains close and bins forbyou know what. People are good on the beach at cleaning behind their pets. It's very close to the airport runway, but it's not a bother. Actually, you get to see planes taking off, which is cool if that's something you might like. For sure, it's worth going there regularly.
