What people say
The Catepillar Club is an unassuming little pub in Martin Place, nestled between two buildings leading to an underground world – it feels like stepping back into the 70s! 🪩 The atmosphere is so great for taking photos 📸 The taste and texture has always been so consistently delicious 🤤 I highly recommend the buttermilk fried chicken! 🍗 It’s a must-try for me. The super cripsy texture paired with crunchy pickle slices 🥒 and a creamy ranch dressing, topped with a few small chili peppers (the chicken itself isn't spicy) 😋😋 The beef burger was also really juicy and filling. The serving size is also quite generous, perhaps one might not be able to finish it alone. Save with happy hour daily from 4-6 pm, drinks are also half-price – such a good deal, especially for students. We ordered non-alcoholic drinks, which were very refreshing. I've also tried their classic cocktails, the Blue Lagoon Fizz and Lychee Martini, before – both were great. The alcohol content is low, so you can drink them without worry. The staff were also very accommodating; very nice and friendly to everyone. Feel free to request for dietary adjustments; they are very approachable. 😊 10/10 would come again for the great food and atmosphere.
walk-ins only 5-6pm happy hour ✨ 💙 lagoon fizz had a nice pandan aftertaste 🍸 lychee martini was quite strong & bitter 🍔 smoked cheeseburger was solid for $18 😋 order at bar 🍻 no table service
I have been to this bar a few times and it has always been phenomenal. The atmosphere and staff are incredible and friendly. If you can make it for the live music it adds wonderfully to the experience. The drinks are nice and there's a great variety to choose from. Service has been excellent. I will definitely be bringing friends along to this establishment and I highly recommend.
Moody lighting, great music, and a cocktail list that’s both creative and classic. The staff know their stuff and make you feel welcome without the usual bar pretence. Perfect for date night or a late drink with friends. Definitely a place you stumble upon once and keep coming back to. I feel so relaxed and comfortable here, sipping nice cocktails and enjoying jazz. It’s exactly the kind of place I’ve been looking for
Moody Magnificent Memorable bar My reviews are about the whole experience not one aspect. Enter via a secret door and make your way down the stairs to heaven as the song goes. You will be in a collection of rooms with leather circular seating for 4, 6,8 and 2’s the round table making conversation for a group easy. The main feature of the venue is a long bar with seating for couples along a wall facing it or if it’s just you sit at the bar. Plenty of places to hid with your muse. The bar has the largest collection of records I’ve seen, a DJ plays these and does an amazing job. The decor is stunning, lighting moody and the whole place dimly lit which only add to its charm. We went during happy hour got there at 4 pm by 5pm the venue very full with happy hour finishing at 6. By the time we left 6.30 pm there was line of people trying to get in. The food is also happy hour and I recommend the chicken and the tuna melts. Many people ordered the burgers. Food good but obviously this is bar food. The main thing at this venue is the fantastic cocktail and drinks. I really liked this place mostly under 30 ‘s as it got later but earlier a mix of ages. People popping in from the offices on way home. Bathrooms beautiful and security staff really friendly. Try this place which is in Pitt street near Martin Place an easy walk from Wynyard train station. Live your local guide-M♥️ Follow me for more reviews please.
