I loved every dish I tried Veal was cooked brilliantly, best veal I’ve had (but I’ve only tried bad ones). This one wasn’t dry or too tough Pork cutlet was the best pork cutlet I’ve ever had in my life (everyone on my table said it was amazing). The flavour was insane Paella rice was perfect. The best paella rice I’ve ever had in my life, even though some reviews were mixed from my table. I’ve been to Spain and this one’s better than the ones I’ve tried from there. The flavour profile is fantastic, and the socarrat is at the optimal level, nicely crispy without being burnt. Octopus was very good too, didn’t order Patatas bravas but it smelt lovely whenever another table ordered it. Waiting staff were great, lovely location and atmosphere on a Monday night. Possible Improvements: Sangria did taste watery, our fish dish (which I didn’t try) looked cool but we weren’t expecting it to be a raw sashimi style dish but rather a cooked one- should maybe specify on the menu or upon ordering. Overall, Should definitely come and try it! :)
A great spot for both lunch and dinner, right by the water and perfect for a bit of people-watching. Modern Spanish cuisine and one of the Tapavino family restaurants. While I personally think the food at the original Tapavino and Balcon is slightly better, this location easily wins on atmosphere. The beef cheek is our usual go-to main and never disappoints. The croquettes and octopus are also consistently good—croquettes are a hit with the kids too. This time we tried the cheese wrapped in serrano with honeycomb and toast, and it quickly became my favourite. You really can’t go wrong with melted cheese, cured pork and warm bread. It has an extensive wine list and the chilled red is good for a hot summer day. Portion sizes are on the medium-to-small side, so I’d recommend allowing roughly one entrée and one main per person.
I made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday. The atmosphere at this restaurant is great, and the staff are incredibly friendly, so they were able to understand my shaky English, which was a great help. My boyfriend was also really happy. They accommodated my request for a surprise despite their busy schedule. This was my first time at this restaurant, but it makes me want to come back often ❤️ And the food was also incredibly delicious. The salmon was tender, and the croquettes were creamy and amazing! We'll definitely come again. Thank you to Zack, who was in charge of our table, and to all the staff who worked there today ✨
Loved it! Great atmosphere, and food was delicious! The were able to accommodate my friends food requirements (gluten free) with no issues. As always, forgot to take more pictures of the yummy plates but the best were the octopus, ham plate and the mushroom rice!
Have been here several times now. The food is always good since they use good quality ingredients. The flavor is slightly bland this time, especially the spicy eggplant. The fresh donuts are divine. Still would come back when I crave for tapas.
