Penrith Beach is a stunning area of lake your kids can enjoy instead of going to the swimming pool. It is family friendly, great for locals, there's toilets, food options like Hot Dogs and Ice cream desserts and much more. I enjoyed swimming in the water with kids and it felt relaxing. But the reason why I gave Penrith Beach only 3 stars is because if you look hard enough, locals are very unlucky to see that they are seeing a lake which is kinda like Bondi beach treated, instead of the ocean (of course, Penrith is naturally other than on the ocean) And it just looks weird seeing a bunch of people at a man made lake, who knows... Another reason why I gave Penrith Beach 3 stars is because the area is very busy, and as I said, It just looks weird. There were very few carpark options close enough. For safety, there is a fence in the water that people can't go to swim there because of deep water and small sea animals that could possibly be dangerous. Me and kids literally saw a fish swim in the lake, so please be careful. A part of the lakes are for kayaking and paddle-boarding. Honestly, prefer travelling an hour going to Bondi Beach if you are a local, or if you are tired of driving and also a local, please stay nearby at this lake. I myself prefer going to actual beaches on the ocean, eg Coogee Beach, Bronte Beach etc.

Great family friendly beach with plenty of space to relax and let the kids play safely. The beach is a good size, clean, and well maintained. Toilets, changing rooms, and showers are all available, which makes a big difference when visiting with family. The ice cream truck is a nice bonus, perfect for a treat after swimming. Overall, a well-equipped spot for a casual day out with family. Highly recommended.

It's ok, good for a quick swim. Portable toilets with no shower (rinse off) facility, only hand wash basin and a short hose to clean legs and some parts of body. Maybe outdoor shower/s would be great to rinse off the water before changing. But otherwise, great sand and great swim in a warmer weather.

So good, has toilets and showers, not alot of people, the view is so nice, and the sand and water is very clean and has some fish, water is shollow for a while. Not a long walk from the carpark, we went school holidays and had plenty of parking. They have life guards, no cafe or food facilities at all so bring what you need. Open from 7am - 7pm Would be great for kayaking or paddleboarding.
