Springwood Country Club is a cafe in Springwood with an outdoor area. Dog access isn't confirmed, but venues with an outdoor area are often dog friendly, so it may be worth checking. Just 750m away, Else-Mitchell Park is a great nearby park for a walk with your dog.
I must say, Springwood Country Club surprised me. Quite an underrated course I must admit. The Par 69 course is filled with small surprises that impressed me. Located outside the main town away from the noice, the club is home to an 18 hole golf course and a squash court. There were definitely a few standout holes, but I must say hole 2 was quite an interesting challenge with the extremely steep approach shot. Other than those, the layout and scenery was very nice for a public course. Practice facilities included a water driving range, two large nets, and a putting green. Lessons are avaliable on site for those needing them. Maintenence was very well done, smooth greens with clean fairways and neat bunkers. It certainly surprised me to discover that this course is not privately owned with the quality I saw. The clubhouse is home to a nice cafe and bistro overlooking the golf course, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating areas. Another thing that surprised me was that the club still uses petrol carts, which were certainly louder than the electric carts often seen in most courses. They were also a bit difficult to operate. Once you get used to it, they're like any other cart. To conclude, I couldn't recommend this course anymore. It's great for golfers of all levels, or even to have a hit on the weekend. I would rate my experience and everything else a solid 4.6/5 (rounded up to 5) :)
Excellent day out. First visit to Springwood Country Club. Course was in excellent condition despite the challenging weather we've had recently. Carts are the best - well maintained. The staff here certainly care about the course and the experience for all players. Will be back.
A lovely friendly club with excellent food, service and value for money. I brought two large groups on two separate days for lunch and even though there were other large groups present at the same time as us, the food was delicious, fresh and served in a timely manner. We love coming here and will definitely come back next year for our end of year breakups.
Jan 2025. First time here. Recommended by MIL. Chef offered gluten free options for mum. All staff welcoming, polite and accommodating. Presentation of food mouthwatering. Definitely up for revisit when next in Blue Mountains.
I enjoyed playing this parkland style type golf course. The treelined fairways were good condition, and the greens rolled true. The bunkers were also well maintained. Accuracy is required as there are many trees waiting to inflict golfing pain on any errant shots. The practice facilities consisted of a putting green, a practice fairway, and warm-up nets. The pro shop staff were friendly and helpful, and the pro shop itself contained a good range of golf equipment and accessories. I look forward to playing this golf course again in the future.
