Plantation Point Reserve is a dog-friendly park in Vincentia. Just 400m away, Nelson Beach foreshore (off-leash) is a great nearby beach to visit with your dog.
Dogs are welcome on-leash at Plantation Point Reserve, a Shoalhaven City Council park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs must be kept on a lead and under effective control in public places throughout the Shoalhaven, except in Council's designated off-leash areas. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment and food preparation areas.
Beautiful beach to visit
Jervis Bay Stargazing. Plantation Point is a fabulous reserve for visiting during the day.....But wait, Plantation Point also provides the location for the wonderful Jevis Bay Stargazing experience. Your hosts Dimitri and Caroline are attentive, well set up with the chairs for sitting on the lovely soft white sand provided for viewing your experience. Dimitri is a wealth of knowledge, and with his trusty laser pointer, he guides your eyes across the night sky with pinpoint accuracy and ease. Discover how to see the Southern Cross and how to find South using this constellation. The Milky Way and other constellations with their relevance to not only the first nations peoples of Australia but throughout the world. Then, be prepared to be mesmerised by viewing the astronomical world through the large tracking telescope. Truly, you will never feel closer to the moon or be astounded with what Venus reveals. Many thanks to Dimitri and Caroline for your experience. I look forward to following up with a Blue Mountain/Wine Stargazing experience in the future.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
