What people say
We come here every year and it has become a special part of our family traditions. This place is amazing for kids. Between the water park, swimming pool, jumping pillow, arcade and soft play area there is always something for them to do. Our girls absolutely love it and it makes the whole trip easy and fun for everyone. The cabins are very clean and set up perfectly for families. The kitchen facilities are great and make it simple to cook meals and settle in for a few days. The team also work constantly to keep the park looking great. You see them around throughout the day maintaining the grounds and cleaning the BBQ areas daily, which makes a big difference and keeps everything feeling fresh and well cared for. The location is beautiful too. The ocean and headland walks are stunning and make it feel like a proper coastal escape. It is such a special place for a family holiday and we always look forward to coming back.
Big park. 1st time camper at this place; the site for the tent was good with power if needed. Train line is close but after the first night it became less noticeable. They have a security team that wanders the park at night for your safety. Unfortunately for the kids, the water park wasn’t in operation, not sure why. We ended up going to the Jamberoo water park. Facilities were good, the common kitchen was clean as were the toilets. Reception staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The only thing I’d recommend is to fence off the creek that flows under the train line and into the park, our 12yo fell in up to his waist at night whilst “exploring”… a smaller child would struggle to get out if they fell in near the tunnel.
We’ve stayed here 3 times. First 2 times were amazing. This time was disappointing and we won’t be coming back. I’m unsure if it was the guests at the park this time around or maybe less of a cleaning schedule being public holidays, however the amenities were disgusting. I had to complain once and it didn’t change anything they were still extremely bad. We have photos on our phones of how horrible they were. There needs to be more daily and consistent checks if that’s how some disrespectful guests are treating the place. It’s so unfair on them as employees but something has to change because the good guests get the brunt of it /the poor cleaners. We couldn’t use the amenities at all, we had to use our caravan for everything but the amenities are in our rate and it’s so unfair how this week cost me and my family for 2 sites so much money when things were unusable!!! You’ve lost me as a customer now just from this weeks experience. Also it’s a premier park and this shouldn’t be happening.. especially for the rates you pay.. Even the pool area smelt like sewers this time around. We left the pool multiple times from the stench.. I think a few employees should go stand around the pool chairs and figure out where it’s coming from.. maybe the tiles need a proper scrub, maybe little kids have been peeing.. unsure. Also Christmas night was horrible for us on b4 and b5 and I spent it holding my baby back to sleep from being woken up from the fire alarm going off in the toilet block behind us.. even that felt wrong that no one cared or asked how we were after that night. I had to ring after hours to let someone know it was going off for the 2nd time. Horrible night for me as a parent soothing my baby back to sleep multiple times. Anyway it’s done now but a shame no one cares.
We recently had an fabulous extended family gathering staying across 4 cabins to celebrate a 70th birthday. I stayed in a seabreeze cabin which was excellent. Great size for two families. Came with everything you need. Beautiful views. Kids loved all the facilities. Great suprise to receive a complementary 4pm check out for everyone. Can't wait to go back!
I solo camped here, the sites around me were occupied also but it was lovely and peaceful, everyone was respectful of each other and the park staff kept the park well manicured and clean at all times. I very much had a lazy stay for 4 days, I fished, I ate, I read, took walks around the park and beach, I daydreamed. The reception crew were a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. I felt very comfortable staying here and look forward to staying in the future.
