Bridges Hill Park is a highly rated dog-friendly park in Cessnock where dogs are welcome on lead. You'll find BBQs, parking, and toilets, making it an easy spot for a longer outing.
Dogs are welcome on-leash at this park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act, dogs must be kept on a leash in all public areas except designated off-leash zones. Cessnock City Council has six designated off-leash areas — visit council's website for locations.
The park certainly ticks a lot of boxes but unfortunately access to the lovely sheltered picnic tables was not really manageable by two of our elderly friends as they are positioned on the higher tier of this beautiful park. It would be really helpful if some tables were available close to the level parking area. It is a lovely park.
Great area for big and little kids. Heaps of parking. Accessibility paths to playground and bbq areas. Exercise stations, staircases, a stroll to the oval over the road, the playground, ball wall and skatepark make this area great for all explorers. Follow the winding pathways through the park and there's an outlook over the town and out to the mountains. Fantastic place to let the kids unwind if road tripping to the Hunter Valley.
Such a wonderful park!!! Just brilliant!! Toilets, BBQ, gym equipment, uphill walking tracks, skateboard track and kids scooter tracks. Hours of fun...
I absolutely love visiting Bridges Hill Park — it’s hands-down one of the safest and most family-friendly parks I’ve ever been to! From the moment you arrive, you notice how well-maintained the grounds are and how peaceful the whole space feels. The walking paths are great for a stroll or a jog, the play areas are perfect for kids, and there’s plenty of open grass for picnics or just relaxing in the fresh air. I always feel comfortable bringing friends and family along, and it’s clear that the community values this beautiful green space. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, clean, and welcoming park to explore!
Amazing park. It has plenty of activities to do for the kids. I can’t tell you how good this place is. You have to see it and experience it for yourself?
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
