Darwin's Espresso Cafe

Fantastic place to watch the wildlife! Amazing coffee, beautifuly prepared food from fresh ingredients. I love the Toasted Museli for breakfast on Mondays (Im a regular!)

What a beautiful place for lunch. Great atmosphere and location. Food was amazing. We caught up with some friends and what better place than here. Highly recommended

We love Darwin's. Staff very friendly great spot nice food. Views amazing, come see for yourself. Plus 2 wineries onsite. In the food photo mocha, caramel thick shake and bacon and eggs, and a almond and blue berry muffin

Three visits now to enjoy both in-house and takeaway - wonderful atmosphere and staff. Particularly good to have some tasty and different choices for vegetarians. Darwin is a great host (and entertainer!).

Absolutely ticked every box for our first visit - and already planning multiple return trips! Coffee was superb (coming from someone with extremely high expectations of coffee!) - and prepared exactly as I asked. We found out that they roast their own beans - which is really wonderful, and illustrates their absolute dedication and commitment to outstanding coffee. Food was absolutely delicious too - my wife and I shared 2 fish specials (Snapper and Salmon) - both thoroughly enjoyed! Our friends loved their food too. Even kids meals were a notch above - quality wise. Combining food and coffee that we loved, with a lovely Hunter Valley outlook, and super friendly and down-to-earth service from Darwin himself - made for a memorable lunch. We soooo hope - in unprecedentedly difficult times for cafes, restaurants and hospitality generally - that Darwin can make this work and that people support this cafe - which is a notch above most others we’ve tried in the lower Hunter.
