Harrigan’s is often very busy, so we highly recommend booking a table in advance. Service can take a little time during peak periods, but the food is quite good and well worth the wait. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. It’s our go-to pub in the Hunter Valley, offering a good variety of dishes with simple yet tasty cuisine.

Restaurant review only - This is the social restaurant & hotel in Hunter Valley. A lot of outdoor space and a nice place to continue drinks & food. Drinks are decently priced, food was excellent. Pork belly starter was a hero, and chips & gravy were excellent. Gravy was really well made. Book ahead of time especially for large groups!

Restaurant review only - great bar service, food pretty good for a big busy place. Beef and Guinness Pie the pick of the menu, plus specials during the week. Great selection of beers - including Kilkenny. Like mother’s milk - pricey, but it is imported. Staff pretty good - fast clearance of the tables, friendly but busy. Dine in or outdoors - would suggest inside on a hot day. Fair access for those with mobility issues.

Located at Hunter Valley Gardens, 2090 Broke Road, Pokolbin, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 I would never recommend this place. We had a group of 35 people, 95% of whom were elderly and a good number using walkers. We came to have dinner before continuing on to the Hunter Valley Christmas Lights Spectacular. From the time we arrived, it was a wrecking ball. We were seated (yes, we did book ahead) at a long table, not really easily accessible for our group. Very hard to get everyone seated as there was very little moving room between the tables, especially for people with walkers. Not to mention the stairs they had to go down to get to tables (not ideal for people with walkers. We had made a mention we had people with mobility issues and who used walkers in our booking. This was evidently ignored. We had large windows that were open to the cold air directly behind our table and asked several times for the plastic wind protection to be lowered and the waiter/manager was very rude and abrupt, just telling us he would do it. The last time he was asked, he practically yelled at us about speaking to the manager. We finally got them lowered be he was just so rude. It was an extremely busy night so we expected a crowd but this was extreme. The lines to order were soooo long. Even to get a drink. I had to wait about 25 minutes just to order that. Finally, only 80% of our group got their meal. As I mentioned, we were on a time frame to get to the light show. It took an extremely long time for our meals to be delivered and after 1 hour of waiting, about 12 of us still hadn’t received our food. We had to ask for a refund and go without our dinner. The staff just were so overwhelmed and it was way understaffed. I saw meals waiting at the kitchen to be delivered for a long time. They would have been getting cold, even with the heat overtop. I will say, the people in my group, who got their meals did enjoyed them but the overall experience was ruined by the things that went wrong. Unfortunately, I was one of the people who didn’t get their meal. I wouldn’t come back here if you paid me. Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. If I could give no stars, I would. 👎👎👎😡😤

An absolute gem of a place to stay!! It really is a one stop shop, with several bars, a bistro and an excellent liquor store. We had the Sunday roast - roast pork with gravy, baby new potatoes and fresh steamed greens. Well done chef!! The bar staff are fantastic too. Very helpful and great at making cocktails. The rooms were immaculate and served by very cheery and pleasant housekeeping staff. We really enjoyed our time here and will be back!!
