Bouncer came up to me and said that the bar manager had accused me of having a steak knife on me. Apparently I was in possession of a steak knife. Bar manager said that I said " that's a great steak knife I'll keep that". Yeah apparently I ordered a steak knife for the 2 pints of Guinness and a pint of cider that I ordered. These people could actually ruin people's lives. Tried to blame two people I was with for being drunk and that was why we were being thrown out. Admitted that the accusation of being in possession of a knife was baseless and provided a round of drinks to compensate. The guy Sean was reasonable but the bar manager and the security guard were out to ruin people's lives. Bar manager wanted us thrown out for a "knife" that we'd never seen. They produced a table knife that none of us had seen. Bar staff charged me for my single pint of cider after trying to end my career. Spoke to the bar manager but still think I should pay for their career ending/visa cancelling behaviour. No apology from the person who made the accusation. Throughout the experience I would not have considered them busy. Went to the toilet and by the time id had a pee they cleared my almost full pint. Ruined our weekend. The place just seems to depend on morons (except Sean and Phil). I still cannot believe that they would accuse me of having a knife on me at random. I mean it's positive that they take security seriously. But awful/career ending that they would accuse someone if carrying an offensive weapon. Had they called the police on this matter I could be facing fines, a criminal record and deportations and/or a custodian sentence. Throwing around accusations of being in possession of an offensive weapon surely requires evidence. Of which they have nothing. Asked me to remove this review in order for a round of free drinks. But when you consider how life changing their accusations could have been I don't feel that's a valid reason to remove the review. Again, Sean and Phil great. Everyone else .. questionable integrity. Avoid as far as you can. Still to hear an explanation of where this accusation came from

The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable, with good beds and pillows. I liked having an outdoor area, and the location was perfect, so close to food and entertainment. The pub itself is excellent, with plenty of space and really good food. We tried the steak sandwich, the beef burger, fish burger, and pot pie, and all of them were great. Entertainment was enjoyable, and the service was consistently good. I’ll definitely be booking the accommodation again. We went with family but I think it would be a perfect place to have a girly weekend away.

Went there for dinner a second time. Service is fast and good. Kudos to the staff who are so busy during this long weekend Friday. Wasn't able to book a table on line but that staff helped to secure a table in the heated area outside. Had pizzas and liked especially the cheesy garlic pizza with bacon add-on.

Stayed at Harrigan’s in the Hunter Valley over the weekend and had a great experience. Fantastic location, great atmosphere and the rooms were clean and comfortable. What really stood out was how proactive the security staff were throughout the venue. They were constantly visible, keeping an eye on things and making sure everyone felt safe while still keeping the fun atmosphere. Even noticed security quickly sweeping up broken glass on the dance floor which was impressive. Such a fun, well-run place for a weekend away. We’ll definitely be back.

The rooms are quite big The rooms are a bit dated. No micro wave or sink The bed sinks a bit when you sit on them however compfortable On the bright side the Irish pub serves meals they are nice and the outside seating is good. Location is excellent The rooms could use a deep clean and pestercide
