Wollombi Tavern is a dog-friendly pub with outdoor space.
Dogs allowed in the large outdoor beer garden on a lead.
Lovely beer garden and beautiful setting. Dogs welcome outside as well! Recommend the pizza!
Wollombi is such a pretty little arts and craft town. Great for a visit on the weekend to check out the different stores. Most have arts and crafts from talented local artists. We went into the pub for lunch, it's one of those country pubs that people say you need to check out, friends out for a motorbike ride will stop in for lunch, bus tours will stop.... just one of those country pubs. Really good, efficient, friendly service which is what you need when there's a decent number of people around. Plenty of drink options and, although the menu is limited, the food is really good. There's a really nice outlook from the back deck, and an outdoor area with plenty of tables beside the pub. It's a really green, pretty drive to get there from either Broke or Cessnock, and you can do a full loop if either of those are your starting point. The Great North Road, which is an historic convict built 240km stretch of road in the Sydney direction, is a little worse for wear these days with lots of potholes. Apparently their working on that. Anyway, the pub is worth stopping at for thirst quencher and/or lunch.
Great place to stop and have a beer. Staff is friendly. The jungle juice is a touristy thing, if you like that stuff. Food is traditional pub fare. Beautiful patio seating
Friendly staff, fairly priced beers 10$ ea for country. Revolting amount of flys but thats no ones fault. Rustic inside and outside beautiful beer garden, not much shade though
Took Dad to Wollombi Tavern for Father’s Day today. Easily booked via a DM on Instagram and had a response within a couple hours. Dad was very happy with his rump steak and the chilli prawn pizza I ordered (cooked in the tavern’s big pizza oven) was excellent. Service from all staff was great, no bad seating anywhere (we sat inside and then moved to the deck later for the breeze) and live entertainment was lovely. Definitely recommending Wollombi Tavern to others… and Wollombi, in general! 🫶🏻
