I ordered a cake from the bakery without knowing the taste since I had never been there before. When I arrived early (around 7am) on Monday, there was no cake display yet. The lady at the counter was very kind and informed me that they have three types of cakes: sponge, mud and butter cake (if I remember correctly). Each type has three flavors: strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. I chose the 7-inch chocolate mud cake priced at $38. I picked it up two days later and was pleasantly surprised. The decoration was beautiful, and the taste was very good. Everyone at my workplace who tried it gave great compliments. I also quickly grabbed banana bread, which was excellent. It had more ingredients and a richer texture than the usual plain banana bread. In the morning, they also have cookies and bread lined up at the front door. My boyfriend often gets the pies and says they are delicious. I want to try some but noticed there are no labels or price tags on the pies, which makes choosing difficult. It would be great if they added those for convenience.

Absolutely loved the cake we ordered! We asked for a dark chocolate super moist cake, and that’s exactly what we got—intense, decadent, and not overly sweet. The texture was moist and smooth. Also, the lovely lady taking the order was very attentive and precise. Highly recommend this bakery if you’re after something indulgent!

An absolute unit of a chicken, walnut chicken and rocket sandwich. This particular one was one of their pre-made sandwiches, but they also hand a sandwich bar that closes at 1:30pm. Their fourth generation owners are continuing a legacy of award-winning bread and signature sourdough that began all the way back in 1887!! The photo is half of the sandwich, if it can even be called that. The bread roll had a diameter of almost 20 cm and akin to a pie. It was generously stuffed with fillings, including a generous lathering of creamy butter that enhanced the sweet fluffy bread as well as walnuts that added a pleasant textural and flavour contrast. It managed to fill 2 people!! At just $11, it offers exceptional value and it was clear from the constant stream of customers that the bakery is a hit with the locals too.
