What people say
Went for a Birthday dinner. The food was wonderful, excellent, tasty,. Grear chefs. The food was reasonably priced. But the stars of the venue were the ladies serving us. They smiled, they came around to check how we were finding our meals, and were just all-round friendly and helpful. Made for a wonderful atmosphere. You helped make our celebration so lovely. Thank you all.
Steak Stacker sandwich (minus pineapple) - recommend! Everyone I was with were happy with their meals too. Good pub feed.
Great service and great meal sizes. It was no wonder that the pub was so busy!
Heddon Greta Hotel - gotta be my fav pub food in the Hunter/Newcastle region. Whether it's their regular menu, or the specials board, the food never fails to amaze me, delicious and massive portions, and we leave full, and satisfied. We booked a table for tonight, and glad we did, it was busyyy - in the hour and a half we were there, the queue for the bistro did not stop. Tonight's specials included a wings and rump deal, and the best pie I've ever had - Guinness pie with mash, peas and gravy. Desserts, we had a banoffee pie, and Cadbury crunchie baked cheesecake. Heavenly. Their cheesecakes are exceptional. The only downside is the dining area gets quite warm, heat from the kitchen warming the area quickly.
