I was part of a group of corgi owners who gathered at the Central Park Cafe at the Maitland Visitor Information Centre yesterday and we had a fantastic day! It is lovely to spend time at a clean, spacious and dog friendly cafe. The staff were so friendly and the service was prompt. The food looked amazing and tasted great and everyone received exactly what they ordered (no mistakes - hard to come by these days). The best part for our pooches was that they had their very own doggy menu! We each chose something for the fur kids and their meals were presented in grey, plastic bowls (see pics). Most of the fur guests showed great manners when eating, yet others very quickly polished off the meal, leaving bowls spotless. There is indoor and outdoor undercover seating as well as some chairs and tables out on the grass overlooking the lovely grounds. There is a dog restricted seating area (for those not so keen on fur kids). If you are a dog owner, this is a great place to bring your dog. There are hooks on the inside garden wall near the tables where you can secure the leash, thus preventing the usual tangle around chair legs and under the table. Thank you to the staff and chefs who made our day a very good one!! There were many tired corgis yesterday afternoon. We will be back.
I visit here every couple of months as it’s a great cafe to take kids to with the outdoor area, soccer balls, totem tennis and designated kids play area available. The outdoor seating area is lovely too. There are some significant downsides though. Absolutely no alterations can be made to the menu, even for dietary reasons. Staff are not very friendly or welcoming at all. The food is fine, but nothing to write home about. No soy milk available, only non dairy milks available are oat and almond. The toys in the designated kids area are so unbelievably filthy they’d need a pressure hose to clean them (take antibacterial wipes for your kids hands before they eat!). They have a kids menu, but it’s not advertised anywhere. You have to know to ask for it. If the atmosphere and suitability for kids wasn’t so lovely, it wouldn’t be worth coming. But I keep coming back as it’s easy for my kids to run around while waiting for food/coffee. Coffee is also nice. As long as you don’t have super high expectations, you’ll find this place fine.
Beautiful cafe, really cosy and full of plants and greenery. Lovely staff, easy parking, also cute couches if relaxed dining is wanted. Ordered Avo smash classic with no eggs very pretty with edible flowers.💐 Loved it.
The place is very beautiful, the food is good and yummy (little bit expensive). Disadvantages: 3 out of 5 waitresses are neither welcoming nor smiling.
Lovely looking place. My daughter was happy with her kids' bacon roll (that charges extra for an egg). The eggs benny was....acceptable. the garlic mushrooms were great. Their "chicken schnitzel" burger for $29 was the single worst chicken burger I have ever had. The ultra processed chicken patty made a macca's McChicken look like fine dining. The lettuce/tomato were soggy, the chicken like sawdust, the bun was stale, and the plastic piece of cheese was not needed. The chips it came with were good though. For that price, some actual chicken, not chicken byproducts is expected
