Happyfield Cafe gets the basics right—and then executes them well. It’s a neighbourhood café that focuses on quality, consistency, and service rather than chasing trends. The pancakes were a standout: light, fluffy, and well balanced, with none of the cloying sweetness that often ruins café pancakes. Clearly made with care. The sausage McMuffin-style sandwich was equally strong. Good-quality sausage, properly seasoned, and assembled cleanly. It improves on the fast-food original by simply using better ingredients and better execution. The single origin coffee is taken seriously here—clean, well extracted, and thoughtfully brewed, not just something to tick a box on the menu. For families, the kids’ meals are genuinely well done: simple, tasty, and clearly prepared fresh rather than as an afterthought. The fresh juice is a nice touch and a cut above the usual options. What ties it all together is the friendly, attentive service. Staff are welcoming, efficient, and make the experience feel relaxed without being sloppy—exactly what you want from a local café. Bottom line: solid food, proper coffee, good options for kids, and genuinely good service. Happyfield Cafe is doing the fundamentals right, and it shows.

Delicious food. The patty in the muffin was seasoned very well, fried chicken was very juicy and pancakes were fluffy. Love the homemade sauce that comes with the chips and hashbrown. Service was fast and attentive. Price is steep e.g. $50 for a meal of chicken, pancakes and chips is more than expected. Decor was nice and had a retro vibe.

Friendly service, with great food and atmosphere. I was able to make a reservation for 5 through their Instagram so we didn't have to wait on a weekend. I tried the happiest meal (+ soft serve add on for $5) and affogato. My favourites were the pancakes and hashbrowns. Their soft serve was also really good. We had an issue with one of food but the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The vibe of the cafe is really cute and adorable. everything is decorated with a yellow theme, and it looks super cool ! The waiting time was long, but honestly, it was worth it. The staff were incredibly kind and absolutely lovely! I ordered the savoury pancakes. They were a little cold when they came out, but still tasty. The matcha, though, was quite bitter. If you prefer sweet matcha, I’d recommend adding sugar or honey. I couldn’t drink more than a couple of sips. But the chocolate milkshake was amazing! I’ll definitely come back, and next time I think I’ll make a reservation :))

If you enjoy pancakes, Happyfields is worth a try. We really enjoyed the food and matcha. The staff are friendly and service is quick. It gets really loud inside, so it’s best for small groups and if you don’t mind and “in and out” type of experience. Booking is highly recommended, they’re always really busy.
