Eve Sharpe Reserve is a small, shaded park in Stanmore with a relaxed local feel. Dogs are welcome on-leash here — it is not a designated off-leash area — so it suits a short, gentle walk rather than off-leash play. With toilets and shade on hand, it is an easy neighbourhood stop. A simple, quiet on-leash spot.
Inner West Council's "Dog exercise areas" page states: "By law, dogs must be on a leash in public places unless the area is a designated off-leash area." This venue is not listed as a designated off-leash area on Inner West Council's Dog exercise areas page.
Small unleash pocket park with lots of shade
Agree with Lucy that the reserve is not great for humans but actually it is loved all the doggies in the neighbourhood who take turns, literally, to use the reserve to poop and read the pee telegraph. The soft soil and leaf litter is perfect for doggy toilet needs. The reserve is fenced and gated so safe for a little run around. Just remember to put the poop in the bin provided please.
Bit of a weird and sad park. Really needs some TLC for council. Small, mostly mud, no sunlight or activities for kids
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
