Service is good. Didn’t have to wait very long to get our food. Coffee is a little light, brekkie wrap is nice and vanilla slice is so-so. Convenient car inside Richmond marketplace.
Handy cafe located in Richmond Marketplace not far from the food court. It was pleasing to find so many eager to please and very capable young wait staff when I visited for breakfast one Saturday morning. My smashed avo consisted of two pieces of crispy well toasted sourdough slices with a tasty topping of mashed avocado, feta, sprouts and olive oil. Reasonably priced, minimal wait time, this cafe is recommended.
Ordered Hamburger beef was too chewy way to chewy which made the burger bloody awful..not a pleasant lunch not worth coming here again...really disappointing.
We love Spears, go there regularly ( or as often as the budget allows ) and would recommend it to anyone. The food is exceptional, always consistent, fresh and clean. Thoroughly enjoyable and that's coming from someone who looooooves food !!! We get the eggs benedict with bacon and it's bloody yum, top shelf - next level !!! Southern fried Chicken burger, whilst a big one, is delicious too, almost enough for 2 people to share. Loaded fries, great ! Bacon & egg rolls, great !! Hash browns, I'm getting hungry now just thinking about it !!! Their coffee is always great too, very consistent and nice and hot. They hire a number of young locals too which is fantastic. Their service is always good, we've rarely ever had an issue that I could remember, even when they're busy. Saying that though, and it may seem a little odd, but they seem to be quicker with food coming out when they're busy then when they're quiet - a bit strange but something we've noticed once or twice. Nothing to complain about though as it's still great service. Very friendly young staff there with one young lady in particular. If we really had to knit pick on area for improvement would be sometimes the coffee comes out far too soon for the food so by the time your food arrives, half your coffee is gone. And if you order more than 2 drinks, they can come out to you spaced a little too far apart. One person is getting their drink as the other person(s) has got half way through theirs. Again, this has happened a few times but something worth noting ( hence the 3 stars on service but that's the only reason ). Great "little kids" playground right next to the outdoor eatery area so you can keep an eye on the kids while gorging yourself senseless on that eggs benedict !!! Other than that, great little café and one we will continue to frequent. Right, I'm out of here - I'm headin' down there for some food LOL.
Three of us had breakfast at Spears while on our way to Bilpin. Serving staffs tried their best to do well, some patience with them goes a long way. Food were definitely great, we were very pleased. The long black coffee was my best ever coffee, its a long time I tasted such excellent brew. A happy morning with Spears cafe!
