Campbell & George is a pub in Queanbeyan where dog access has not yet been confirmed — it's worth checking before you visit.
Great place. Outdoor area for kids to run around in, sports bar for watching all the things, and really good food. Specials menu is delicious and they were great at catering to dietaries.
What else do I say but thank you thank you thank you. We had our son's 21st at Campbell and George Queanbeyan few weekends ago. From the first day of planning, Phoebe's been so amazing. Just top notch with communication. She provided me with all options to choose re menus etc and was very clear and concise to just every information she provided me. Nathan and Amanda and a young girl with Amanda (forgot to get her name), finished up the amazing event with just an excellent service! My boy really enjoyed his special day and so did his friends and all us! Guys I could not recommend this place enough. I am looking forward for my next event here. Thank you again Campbell and George Team! Regards, Aileen and T Forde
We’ve been to Campbell and George on several occasions and every time we cross our fingers that the same man at the door isn’t working. He’s consistently rude, unwelcoming, and seems to go out of his way to make things difficult — especially for anyone with an “incorrect” electronic licence or interstate ID. Tonight was the last straw. He yelled at my kids (aged 5 and 7) for playing in an area that we genuinely didn’t know was off-limits — there were no signs or clear boundaries. He said, “I’ve told you three times now, if I have to tell you again I’ll be asking you to leave.” Completely unnecessary and aggressive, particularly towards young children. When I tried to clarify, he doubled down, saying it was “obvious” the area was restricted. How about having a conversation with the parents first? He generally just creates an unpleasant atmosphere. To add insult to injury it was my husband’s birthday tonight and instead of being a pleasant experience we were left feeling upset. Honestly, I don’t think we’ll be back. Judging from other reviews, we’re not the only ones who’ve had this experience. Such a shame, because the place itself could be great with better staff attitude and customer care. — Another disappointed customer
Had my 50th there this weekend. The manager (I think) and Phoebe were lovely. The other woman in reception was pretty rude to me and most of my guests. There wasn’t anyone to explain the rules of lawn bowls with no party host for 45 people which was honestly hard to manage. I chose a venue instead of home so I didn’t have to work the event but that’s not how it went. The food was expensive and the platters were smaller than I thought they would be so I had to buy more food on the day. All in all the guests had a good time and they had mixed reviews on the catering. The energy it took for me to organise things like chairs, signing guests in and tables was more than i wanted. It’s also not the most disability friendly venue. I’d highly recommend for people who know how to play lawn bowls and have a smaller group.
We went there for hubby's birthday. Food was average. I ordered pork ribs with coleslaw. The coleslaw was soggy. My husband ordered chicken Parma which was average as well.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
