Dry as a dead dingos donga the other today, but I ran past today after the rains and it was flooded, the frogs were having a wild party celebrating the return of life, amazed to be back in the water again!

Love this swamp. It is a hive of activity especially in winter when it is full of water. Lots of frogs and birds flying around. Even see a few wild ducks in there every now and then. It is only a 10 minute walk up the hill from Shelly Beach and about 5 mins from the upper lookout. Quite a few people walk straight past it on the Shelly Beach to Barracks walk. At present they have had burnoffs in the area so the colours of the bush are amazing. Lots of Blacks and browns with new green shoots coming through. #LetsGuide #northhead #bushwalk #Sydney #Australia
