Kraken Sourdough

We visited Kraken Sourdough and absolutely loved it — such a fantastic find. The pastries were outstanding and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. I had the pear danish, which was perfectly crunchy around the edges and beautifully soft and sweet where the fruit was — it honestly melted in the mouth. My husband chose the mushroom and cheese pastry and it was just as impressive: fresh, flavourful and very satisfying. Both pastries together were only $15, which felt like excellent value. The space is relaxed and welcoming, staff were friendly, and there’s great parking which made the visit easy and enjoyable. Even without drinks (we’d had coffee elsewhere), this stop was a highlight of our day. We’d definitely go back and happily recommend it to anyone who loves quality sourdough and pastries done properly.

Food was alright, im pastry chef and been living here for quite a while. The food for this area is considered to be good. They made everything fresh. But one thing was the customer service, the senior lady was giving us that look that doesn’t feel warm and welcome . The kids hot chocolate was boiling hot(when the order was clearly asked for kids hot chocolate to be warm) .

Easily the best coffee and croissants we had during our entire trip to Jervis Bay! We stopped by Kraken Sourdough and were blown away by the quality. The croissant was perfectly flaky on the outside with beautiful, buttery layers inside, clearly made by someone who knows their craft. The coffee was expertly brewed, smooth, and hit the spot. If you’re in the area, this is a non-negotiable stop for breakfast. We’ll be dreaming about those pastries until our next visit!

South coast gem? - Kraken oath! Put this on your Must try list!!! Great coffee- pastries to match. Locals know this bakery- but it’s becoming Huskission’s bright gem There are bread, pies, desserts to break your sugar daily intake.

The coffee was spot on and the bread was absolutely delicious. The staff – especially the older crew working there – were super friendly and welcoming. Wish we had a place like this just down the road from home!
