Dog rules

Shoalhaven City Council's Dog Off-Leash Guide states: "Dogs in the Shoalhaven are required to be 'on leash'" unless in a designated off-leash area or dog-prohibited area. This venue is not named in Shoalhaven's off-leash list or prohibited list under D23/519887 (MIN23.740, December 2023), so the council-wide default on-leash rule applies. Dogs must be under the effective control of a competent person at all times under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. (Source: Shoalhaven City Council, MIN23.740 / D23/519887.)

Love this spot. A quiet little place where you can really relax away from the crowd. The kids can ride their bikes everywhere as there's no traffic, and there's plenty of wildlife here. Beach is great, and the lake is perfect for swimming with the kids. Fun to go out to the island on low tide.

Absolutely stunning beach and with some great lookouts onto this beach. There are rock pools during low tide to explore with some of the most famous surfing and fishing spots along here too. There's parts of the beach that are good for swimming but be mindful that this is an unpatrolled beach with no lifeguards. This were Lake Conjola meets the ocean and is a great swimming spot too. I've been coming to this beach since I was kid and just love it.

Did you know Cunjurong Beach has an unusual layout with waves heading in two directions, from south and east, and meet at the sand and rock causeway to Green Island? Then again, there's many other delights, like rock platforms with living pools, the rockiest island around, snorkelling, and big stretches of beach sand. The waves are good and on an average day not so treacherous, but watch out for rips. And then, with Conjola Lake estuary barred by a sand bern, its possible to walk forever along Conjola Beach. It's a winner.

Hyams & Greenfield will always be the mainstay for visitors, but Conjurong is a hidden gem. Atop the sand dunes are unspoilt views of the sunset which gracefully recedes behind the mountain range. The iridescence seen here during blue-hour is breathtaking to say the least! I suggest this as anyone's first pick when going to Jervis Bay, before checking out the more well-known Hyams.

Beautiful place I love going to this beach it's a lot less busier than Lake Conjola and it's a short walk from the carpark. It's not very wavy depending on where you go but there's also waves on the other side. The water is crystal clear.
