Really nice isolated beach, complete with picture perfect sand a couple of lovely rock pools Note this one is not really suitable for swimming, but would be a perfect place to sunbake the afternoon away! Ample car parking up top, complete with showers and picnic tables. Worth checking out if you after a relaxing beach stroll!
Fantastic walk with leafy trails, many on newly installed boardwalks, which was welcome after recent torrential rain. Very scenic outlook from various posts. Highly recommended when next visiting this special part of the South Coast of NSW 🌊
Beautiful coastal walk with the family. The area is being cared for by a local bushcare program so it was no wonder the path was so well maintained. Walking amongst the forest we'd catch glimpses of the ocean below every now and then. Not too far in and you'll reach a lookout with a great view. It's a perfect walk for birdwatching too, you'll just have to be quick if you want to get any on camera. What's nearby: It's about 100mt from the local lighthouse, a lookout to the ocean and a couple of other bushwalks. Plan well, and you could spend the whole day exploring the local coastline. Across the road from the walk is a large sporting oval if you want to kick a ball around or the kids need a change of scenery. Right next to the entrance to the walk is a path leading to the beach below. We couldn't get down that day as the recent rain had muddied the path. It's only a 5minute drive from the local Ulladulla precinct where you can stop and enjoy lunch or check out one of the numerous nearby beaches.
We parked at the lighthouse car park but yo can access the reserve from other places. There are 2 paths leaving the car park. We took the northern route. It meandered along the cliff top on a small but easy to walk track. There were several viewing areas and then further round some seats and a picnic table. Nice shady walk. There was also a path down to the sea to one of the rock shelves. Fossil hunting.
This is a really beautiful place to explore. Great for kids, my daughter loved it. Great views of the ocean, make sure you head north at the lighthouse along the track and make your way down to the rock shore. Some nice quick loops and some aboriginal artwork along the way. Follow the lizard signs.
